Isuzu N-Series EV gets DOE nod; launching in PH soon?
All-electric Isuzu N-Series EV could make PH debut
During the 9th Philippine International Auto Show (PIMS), Isuzu Philippine Corporation showed the N-Series EV Concept. Also called the Elf EV, it's Isuzu's all-electric light-duty commercial vehicle that can haul goods with ease without using a single drop of fuel.
When it was shown to the public two years ago, it had a 40 kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 115 km, and is powered by a single electric motor that puts out 122 PS and 370 Nm of torque. While impressive for a light-duty truck, other competitors have started launching their own light-duty EVs that can haul cargo with zero emissions. However, IPC may soon offer the N-Series EV.

The Department of Energy (DOE) updated its list of recognized EVs recently, and we noticed that the Isuzu N-Series EV is now on that list. Based on the listing, the N-Series EV is a 2026 model year vehicle and is a cab & chassis model. More importantly, it has a maximum electric power of 167 kW (227 PS) and has a bigger 100 kWh battery pack.
Based on the attached specifications, the Isuzu N-Series EV delivers 227 PS and 420 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 100 kWh battery pack is a lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) unit courtesy of CATL and has a range of up to 299 km. In addition, it supports CCS2 DC charging for quick recharging.

Size-wise, the Isuzu N-Series EV measures 5820mm long, 2020mm wide, and 2275mm tall on a 3360mm wheelbase. It also has a gross vehicle weight of 4,495 kg and can seat a total of three passengers.
For now, Isuzu PH has yet to announce anything regarding the N-Series EV for the Philippine market. But the fact that the DOE has already recognized it could mean IPC is gearing up for a local launch. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the launch will happen soon.
