iCaur V23 EV, V27 REEV to come in three variants for PH market?
DOE officially recognizes iCaur V23 as an EV; iCaur V27 as a PHEV
We already know that Omoda Jaecoo Motor Philippines (OJPH) will launch the iCaur brand in the country later this year. In fact, we managed to get additional info about the upcoming V23 EV and V27 range-extended EV (REEV) last week, including its estimated pricing. In addition, the V23 could be priced between PHP 1.6 and 1.9 million, while the V27 REEV could hover between PHP 2.2 and PHP 2.6 million.
Fast forward to the present day, and both the iCaur V23 EV and V27 REEV recently received regulatory approval from the Department of Energy (DOE). Based on the updated listing by the agency, the V23 EV and V27 REEV will apparently be offered in three variants. The former will be available in Classic RWD, Premium AWD, and Luxury AWD versions, while the latter will come in Classic RWD, Premium AWD, and Flagship AWD models.

The iCaur V23 Classic RWD has been listed as having a maximum electric power of 100 kW (or 136 PS) and will have a 59.93 kWh battery pack. On a single charge, the RWD version can do up to 400 km. On the other hand, the AWD variants have a maximum electric output of 155 kW (or 210 PS) and will come with a bigger 81.76 kWh battery, which gives them a range of up to 500 km.
In terms of size, the iCaur V23 EV measures 4220mm long, 1915mm wide, and 1845mm tall on a 2730mm wheelbase. This makes the V23 a competitor against the likes of the Suzuki e Vitara, the Toyota Urban Cruiser, and perhaps even the upcoming Kia EV3.
Over to the iCaur V27 REEV, the DOE has designated it as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). Both the RWD and AWD versions have a maximum engine output of 100 kW (or 136 PS) and mostly serve as a range-extender for the onboard battery pack. The RWD variant makes use of a 20.47 kWh battery pack and has a maximum electric output of 185 kW (or 251 PS).

As for the AWD versions of the V27 REEV, both the Premium and Flagship models get a bigger 34.58 kWh battery pack and a maximum electric output of 335 kW (or 455 PS) via a pair of electric motors.
Based on what other markets get, the V27 REEV can do up to 210 km, based on the CLTC cycle, while its total system range is up to 1,230 km. Size-wise, the V27 REEV measures 5045mm long, 1976mm wide, and 1894mm tall on a 2910mm wheelbase. Once revealed, the iCaur V27 REEV could take on other flagship SUVs.
With both the iCaur V23 and V27 set to make their Philippine debut in October, let's hope the brand reveals more details closer to launch.
