XPeng L05 range-extended EV also coming to PH?
DOE gives PHEV recognition to XPeng L05 REEV
We already know that XPeng will be making their Philippine debut this September with not one but two vehicles. They are the L03 crossover and the X9 MPV. Based on the Department of Energy's (DOE) updated list of recognized EVs and PHEVs, both the L03 and the X9 will be available in pure electric and plug-in hybrid forms.
In the future, however, the L03 and X9 may be accompanied by another XPeng model, which recently received DOE recognition as a PHEV. That vehicle is the upcoming XPeng L05 REEV (range-extended EV), and it has yet to be fully revealed in the PRC.
Based on the DOE's updated listing, the XPeng L05 will be a stylish midsize crossover SUV (although the DOE has categorized it as an MPV) that measures 4870mm long, 1930mm wide, and 1636mm tall on a 2940mm wheelbase.

It's also listed as a 2026 model year vehicle with a maximum engine power of 68 kW or 92 PS and a maximum electric output of 183 kW or 249 PS. Last but not least, it has a battery capacity of 37.21 kWh. This makes the L05 larger and a bit more powerful than the L03.
Beyond that, the overall styling of the XPeng L05 features a fastback-inspired design, a coupe-like roof, split LED headlights, full LED taillights, and semi-concealed door handles. It also has massive alloy wheels and brightly colored brake calipers, which add to the vehicle's stylish looks.
Other details about the XPeng L05 REEV remain a mystery. But since the L05 has already been listed by the DOE, perhaps it's already been earmarked for the Philippine market before its scheduled debut. The only question now is: when can we expect the XPeng L05 to actually arrive in the Philippines?
