Yesterday, XPeng Philippines officially confirmed they will be entering the market in Q3 2026. With that, we can expect more electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) to arrive in the country later this year. That means more choices for interested buyers who want to make the switch to xEVs.

But what vehicles from XPeng can we expect? According to the automaker, they will be initially launching two EV models, with further product and launch details to be announced closer to market introduction. However, looking at the teaser photo they released yesterday, we already have a good idea of what to expect.

If the teaser image is anything to go by, XPeng Philippines could be planning to launch the L03 crossover and the X9 MPV models. In fact, the Department of Energy (DOE) has already recognized several variants of the XPeng vehicles for the Philippine market. Based on what the agency has approved so far, there will be EV and PHEV models on offer.

Starting with the stylish X9 MPV, the EV version could be offered in three variants: Standard Range, Long Range, and AWD Performance. The Standard Range comes with a 94.8 kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 535 km and a single electric motor producing 320 PS with 450 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the Long Range version gets a bigger 110 kWh battery pack, which gives the electric MPV a range of up to 615 km on a full charge. It also gets the same electric motor as the Standard Range and makes 320 PS with 450 Nm of torque.

Last but not least is the AWD Performance, which comes with dual electric motors that deliver a combined 500 PS and 640 Nm of torque. It also gets an 110 kWh battery pack, but only has up to 580 km of range on a full charge.

Prefer the PHEV version? The X9 has also been listed by the DOE with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5L turbocharged engine serving as a generator and a 63.29 kWh battery pack that powers an electric motor producing 286 PS. According to XPeng, the range-extended version of the X9 can cover up to 452 km in pure EV mode and has a total system range of more than 1,600 km, based on the CLTC cycle.

As for the L03, the EV variant will reportedly come in two variants: Standard & Long Range. The former gets a single electric motor that puts out 245 PS with 264 Nm of torque and has a 69 kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 530 km, based on the NEDC standard.

Meanwhile, the Long Range gets a bigger 71.2 kWh battery pack, which translates to a range of up to 600 km, based on the NEDC cycle. However, it also gets a single electric motor producing 245 PS and 264 Nm of torque.

Those who want a PHEV or REEV variant of the L03 can expect a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine that serves as a generator for a 37.2 kWh battery pack. It also has a single electric motor derived from the EV version and continues to make 245 with 264 Nm of torque. Based on the CLTC cycle, XPeng says this particular L03 can do 315 km on EV power and has a combined system range of more than 1,300 km.

With XPeng set to launch the brand in the Philippines later this year, we'll keep our eyes peeled for any new developments and perhaps sightings of their upcoming vehicles. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long for the big reveal.
