SPIED: Ferrari to celebrate 80th anniversary with F80 Aperta?
After the LaFerrari Aperta, Ferrari is seen testing what could be the F80 Aperta
Mention the word Aperta to any Ferrari enthusiast, and they will immediately tell you about limited-edition open-top vehicles from Maranello. The last open-top stallion the brand released was the LaFerrari Aperta to celebrate the brand's 70th anniversary. Only 210 examples were built, which means only a select few have in their possession an open-top hypercar from Ferrari.

Now, Ferrari is preparing for its 80th birthday, and it looks like the Prancing Horse will be releasing a new Aperta to mark the occasion. Recently, our spies managed to take pictures of a lightly camouflaged Ferrari F80 being driven in what appears to be the Nurburgring. While it may look like the one that was revealed two years ago, the prototype that was seen by our spies appears to have a removable hardtop, albeit concealed.

It will reportedly be called the Ferrari F80 Aperta, and from its namesake, it will be an open-top vehicle that will see limited production. In fact, production is expected to be limited to only 399 units. This means the F80 Aperta will be even rarer than the F80 Coupe, which will see 799 units made in total.

Like the coupe version, the F80 Aperta will be powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that's assisted by three electric motors and a 2.28 kWh battery. The result is a combined output of 1200 PS, a 0 – 100 km/h sprint time of just 2.15 seconds, and a top speed of 350 km/h.

The Ferrari F80 has already been recognized by the Department of Energy (DOE) as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), which means we can expect 1 of 799 to arrive in the Philippines soon. But since there will also be an F80 Aperta, can we also expect it to arrive in the country in the near future?
