Denza Z9 GT EV gets DOE approval; PH launch soon?
After March preview, Denza Z9 GT could make PH debut after DOE approval
Back in March, Denza Philippines pulled a surprise when they previewed the Z9 GT alongside the launch of the D9 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) premium MPV. While we initially thought it was just for show, we received word that the Z9 GT will indeed be launched for the Philippine market.
Since the automaker has already revealed the B5 and B8 for the Philippines, it might only be a matter of time before Denza launches the Z9 GT. The only question now is, will it be available as an electric vehicle (EV) or as a PHEV?

Well, we need not wonder anymore after the Department of Energy (DOE) updated its list of recognized EVs and has included the Denza Z9 GT. Based on the agency's listing, the Z9 GT is a 2026 model-year vehicle and will have a maximum electric output of 850 kW or 1,155 PS. In addition, its battery pack is rated at 122.49 kWh, which means it will have quite the range on a full charge.
Digging through more of the Z9 GT's specifications for the Philippines, the electric shooting brake will have a dual-motor setup, which gives it AWD capability. From a standstill, Denza says the Z9 GT can sprint to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. Not only that, but the Z9 GT can also travel up to 725 km on a full charge, based on the NEDC cycle.

Like the B8 and B5, the Z9 GT will also benefit from the brand's Disus intelligent body control system, which consists of an adaptive hydraulic suspension to deliver a softer ride. Other key exterior features on the Denza Z9 GT include massive 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/45 series tires, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, a panoramic glass sunroof, active air vents, a power tailgate, an electric spoiler, and frameless door windows.
Inside, the Z9 GT will likely be available with the most cutting-edge features from Denza. These may include the massive 17.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, four-zone climate control, power-adjustable seats for all occupants with massage & cooling/heating functions, a 360-degree camera system, and a 20-speaker sound system.
With the 2026 Denza Z9 GT already getting approval from the DOE as an EV, we're hoping the all-electric shooting brake will make its Philippine debut soon.
