Toyota PH ready for PIMS 2026 with three new vehicles
Did Toyota just tease the LC 300 HEV, next-gen Hilux, and Land Cruiser FJ?
With only a week to go before the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), some brands are already releasing teaser images of their upcoming vehicles that will be present next week at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
Toyota Motor Philippines has released a teaser image before this year's PIMS, and we already have a good idea of what to expect. Based on the teaser photo Toyota posted on social media, the bZ4X will be present next week. But what really caught our attention were the three other vehicles that are also in the photo.

While Toyota has yet to say what the mystery vehicles are, their silhouettes have given us clues. The one on the left of bZ4X appears to be the all-new Hilux. Based on recent regulatory approvals and recognition from the Department of Energy (DOE), the next-generation pickup truck will most likely be available in both turbo-diesel and electric vehicle (EV) forms. The turbo-diesel will most likely be offered in 2.4L and 2.8L displacements with up to 204 PS with 500 Nm of torque, while the Hilux BEV may put out 176 PS from a pair of electric motors.

On the right of the bZ4x could be the Land Cruiser FJ. With its boxy exterior and distinct profile, the Land Cruiser FJ will serve as the stepping stone in the Land Cruiser model lineup. Like the JDM version, the Philippine-spec of the Land Cruiser FJ will most likely get the 2.7L 2TR-FE naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that puts out 163 PS and 246 Nm of torque. In fact, a regulatory approval has somewhat confirmed our suspicions since Toyota PH got approval for a passenger vehicle that has a 2694cc gas engine, which is the exact displacement of the 2TR-FE.

Last but not least, the other mystery vehicle with an imposing exterior may most likely be the Land Cruiser 300 HEV. Already appearing on the DOE's list of recognized hybrids since early 2026, the electrified flagship SUV could be powered by a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine that's assisted by an electric motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery pack. Like its more luxurious twin, the LX 700h, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV might have a combined system output of 457 PS and 790 Nm of torque, trouncing the turbo-diesel V6, which makes 306 PS and 700 Nm of torque.

With Toyota already teasing some of its upcoming vehicles, its booth will surely generate quite the buzz once the covers are off.
