PIMS 2026: Toyota PH previews expanded Land Cruiser lineup, electrified Hilux with BEV
Order books now open for LC300 HEV, Land Cruiser FJ, and next-gen Hilux
Toyota Motor Philippines is set to deliver on its promise of rolling out exciting new vehicles for 2026.
After the launch of the Urban Cruiser BEV and the RAV4 HEV earlier in the year, the country’s leading automaker has taken to the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show to preview the hybrid version of the Land Cruiser 300, the next-generation Hilux, and the much-awaited Land Cruiser FJ.
Land Cruiser 300 HEV

Last year, Toyota Motor Philippines sold over 3,000 units of the diesel-powered Land Cruiser 300. Now, they will have something to offer for those looking for an electrified SUV with the Land Cruiser 300 HEV.

As the name implies, the LC300 HEV brings enhanced performance and efficiency to the brand’s flagship SUV, brought by the 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 and an electric motor that forms its hybrid powertrain. The PH-spec model’s powertrain puts out 415 PS and 650 Nm of torque from the engine, while the motor generator produces 49 PS and 250 Nm of torque. All of these are then routed to all four wheels via the 10-speed automatic transmission.

A smoother driving experience is also claimed by Toyota as the LC300 HEV is equipped with electronic power steering.

In terms of exterior and interior features, the LC300 HEV carries over most of the non-hybrid LC300’s equipment, along with its 4x4 tech, except for a different body kit with jet black garnish up front, and the HEV badges found around the vehicle.
Next-generation Hilux

After over 10 years, the popular midsize pickup truck from Toyota gets a new lease of life, as Toyota took the wraps off the next-generation Hilux. While still using the same but improved IMV platform, the latest version gets a brand-new look, a fresh list of standard features, and the addition of a fully electric variant.

Toyota describes the new design of the Hilux as the “Cyber Sumo” aesthetic, as it features slimmer headlights and a more aggressive grille to make the truck look beefier. The rear also received a makeover courtesy of new LED taillights, new bumpers, new rear side steps, and a tailgate assist for better convenience in loading and unloading on the truck bed.

The next-generation Hilux was previewed in the Conquest diesel and BEV variants. As it turns out, Toyota will exclusively power the ICE Hilux variants with the 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV turbodiesel.

That applies from the 4x2 E A/T variant to the Conquest 4x4 A/T. The 6-speed manual variants produce 204 PS and 420 Nm of torque, while the 6-speed automatic variants put out 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the Hilux BEV has a pair of electric motors producing a combined 196 PS, with 200 Nm of torque in front and 269 Nm at the rear, forming an AWD system. The 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivers up to 315 km of range in a single charge, with the electric architecture allowing for Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC fast charging.

Land Cruiser FJ
Lastly, serving as the new gateway model to the Land Cruiser range is the Land Cruiser FJ. Built on the same IMV body-on-frame platform shared with the likes of the Fortuner and Hilux, the Land Cruiser FJ is shorter than the Fortuner and seats two fewer people with the absence of a third-row seat.

With short overhangs, a tight turning radius, and generous ground clearance in stock form, however, the FJ is designed to be a capable light-duty 4x4 SUV that lives up to the Land Cruiser reputation.
Speaking of which, the design of the Land Cruiser FJ sees major styling cues inspired by its predecessors, most especially the FJ Cruiser, but spun to take the form of a true five-door SUV. The upright boxy profile with wide wheel arches and black cladding, as well as the rear-mounted spare tire on the swing-out tailgate, were all inspired by Land Cruisers of the past, but the C-clamp lights both front and rear, and the flat rear glass are distinct features of the all-new model.

Inside, the Land Cruiser FJ has a horizontal-themed dashboard design, much like the LC Prado. Toyota fitted some interior materials that are easy to clean for off-road use, but also comes with modern features such as a large infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, and USB charging ports present on both the front and rear sections.

Powering the Land Cruiser FJ is the 2.7-liter 2TR-FE four-cylinder gasoline engine, making 166 PS and 245 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, and a part-time 4WD system with rear differential lock. Other nifty off-road features include hill descent control, auto LSD, and a 2nd Start mode, which engages 2nd gear from a stop to provide a gentler, more controlled acceleration when the vehicle has low traction.
Toyota is offering the Land Cruiser FJ in two variants - the top-spec VX comes with more leather trims with power adjustment on the driver’s side seat, 18-inch wheels, and Toyota Safety Sense, while the TX variant is less equipped with smaller 17-inch wheels, the deletion of roof rails and side steps, along with Toyota Safety Sense being omitted.

Starting today, June 4, customers can already reserve the Land Cruiser FJ, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV, and the next-generation Hilux either through the brand’s dedicated sites, or through any authorized Toyota dealer in the country.
The Land Cruiser FJ begins at PHP 2.235M for the TX, while the range-topping VX is selling for PHP 2.575M. Over to the LC 300 HEV, the electrified 4x4 flagship SUV has a sticker price of PHP 6.93M
