PIMS 2026: Jaecoo J5 EV revealed for PHP 1.4M; up to 461 km
Highly anticipated Jaecoo J5 EV arrives in the Philippines
Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines is continuing its push into the electric vehicle segment with the launch of the all-new Jaecoo J5 EV today at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). Prices start at PHP 1.4 million.
The battery-electric crossover joins the brand’s growing lineup of electrified vehicles in the country and gives Juan dela Cruz another option in the increasingly competitive compact EV segment.

The PH-spec Jaecoo J5 EV is powered by a single electric motor producing 208 PS and 288 Nm of torque. Energy comes from a 58.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Based on specifications recognized by the Department of Energy (DOE), the J5 EV can travel up to 461 km on a single charge under the NEDC testing cycle. To put that into perspective, that’s roughly the distance between Manila and Vigan, Ilocos Sur, with some range left in reserve, at least on paper.
The J5 EV also shares its platform with the recently introduced J5 SHS hybrid crossover, but replaces the gasoline-electric powertrain with a fully electric setup designed for zero tailpipe emissions and lower operating costs.

Size-wise, the J5 EV is comparable to mainstream crossovers such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Honda HR-V, measuring 4,380 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,650 mm tall. It rides on a 2,620-mm wheelbase, striking a balance between city-friendly dimensions and interior space.
Like the J5 HEV, the EV version comes with amenities such as a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a fully digital instrument panel, an electronic column shifter, a 50W wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, 19 ADAS functions, a 360-degree camera system, a power tailgate, and a host of airbags.

To celebrate its Philippine debut, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines is rolling out seven exclusive offers for customers who reserve the Jaecoo J5 EV during PIMS. These include a deposit multiplier promo where a PHP 10,000 reservation is valued at PHP 30,000 during the show, or PHP 20,000 after PIMS until June 30, 2026. Existing vehicle owners can also get a PHP 10,000 repurchase discount, while current Omoda and Jaecoo customers who refer a buyer will receive two free PMS visits, with the referred customer getting an extra PHP 10,000 discount.
Other launch perks include one year of free roadside assistance, one year of free preventive maintenance, three years of complimentary remote vehicle control services through the mobile app, and a free 7kW genuine wall charger with every purchase. To back up the J5 EV, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines is also offering a 7-year or 200,000-km vehicle warranty, plus an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty for the battery and electric motor, whichever comes first.
Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines also confirmed that a more accessible Comfort variant will be added to the local lineup soon.
The arrival of the J5 EV comes as Omoda & Jaecoo continues expanding its electrified offerings in the Philippine market. The company has already introduced hybrid and fully electric models globally, with the local launch of the J5 EV signaling its intention to strengthen its presence in the country’s growing EV sector.
