Chery Q EV hatchback launching at PIMS 2026
Chery Auto PH to join EV hatchback market with all-new Q
After debuting in Thailand at this year's Bangkok International Motor Show and seeing it in the metal at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the successor to the Chery QQ will be making its Philippine premiere this week.
Set to make its presence felt at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is the Chery Q, which has just been confirmed by Chery Auto Philippines. Based on the teaser the automaker released recently, the PH-spec Chery Q will have up to 405 km of range, based on the NEDC cycle, and will have a single rear electric motor.

Based on the Department of Energy's (DOE) initial specifications, the Chery Q for the Philippine market will indeed have a single electric motor that makes 120 PS and 115 Nm of torque. It will also have a 41.28 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack, which gives the Q a range of more than 400 km. Other available features include a 3.5 kW portable charger, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, and regenerative braking. Last but not least, the Chery Q supports both AC and DC fast charging.
Size-wise, the Chery Q will measure 4195mm long, 1811mm wide, and 1573mm tall on a 2700mm wheelbase. Interior features have yet to be listed, although we won't be surprised if it will be similar to what China gets. That means we can expect the Chery Q to have a huge 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a digital instrument panel, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and USB charging ports.

With only a few days to go before the opening of PIMS 2026, we're hoping to get more details and information about the Chery Q on June 4. We're also curious as to how much Chery Auto Philippines will price the Q once it's revealed.
