Jaecoo J5 EV launches in PH this week

Jaecoo J5 EV launches in PH this week
After PIMS 2026 preview, Jaecoo J5 EV to make Philippine debut on July 22
Omoda Jaecoo Motor Philippines (OJPH) is set to reveal its newest electric vehicle (EV) yet. After giving the public a glimpse of it at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last month, the Jaecoo J5 EV is all set for its official launch on July 22, 2026.
It will be making its public debut on Wednesday at the Glorietta Activity Center for all of the public to see. Once launched, OJPH says the J5 EV is aimed at customers who are looking for a practical daily driver that combines modern technology, safety features, and lower running costs.
Like the J5 EV that was previewed at PIMS 2026, the electric crossover SUV will feature a Land Rover-inspired exterior, albeit featuring a closed-off grille and a front charging port on the passenger side of the wheel arch. The rest of the vehicle largely looks the same as the J5 HEV, which is already on sale in the Philippines.

Based on what Jaecoo has revealed so far at PIMS 2026, the J5 EV will come with a 58.9 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 461 km. However, during a recent endurance run held by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the J5 EV was able to travel up to 539 km on a single charge, exceeding the factory range. The battery then powers a single electric motor, which puts out 208 PS and 288 Nm of torque.
When it comes to features and amenities, the J5 EV will have plenty on offer. Like the vehicle that was previewed last month, the J5 EV will be available with a tablet-like 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an electronic column shifter, a 50W wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, a power tailgate, a 360-degree camera, a host of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), and ambient lighting.
Check out the Jaecoo J5 EV up close at the Glorietta Activity Center starting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
