Paying tribute to one of the most iconic moments in motorsport history, Mini Philippines has officially welcomed the Mini 1965 Victory Edition to local shores. Built as an exclusive nod to Mini’s historic win at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, the ultra-rare model has arrived with a one-of-one allocation for the entire country.

Before the public even got an official look, the single unit allocated for the Philippines was already claimed by its future owner, underscoring the enduring appeal of the heritage-focused model.

The special edition honors the legendary Mini Cooper S driven by Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter, who conquered extreme weather conditions to take overall victory at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally.

Based on the high-performance Mini John Cooper Works (JCW), the 1965 Victory Edition is finished in classic Chili Red paintwork paired with a Glazed White roof and panoramic sunroof. A distinct white trim stripe extends from the bonnet across the roof to the rear, while a prominent white "52" graphic coats both sides of the vehicle, matching the competition number of the victorious 1965 rally car.

Further exterior details include a subtle "1965" sticker on the C-pillar, 18-inch JCW alloy wheels featuring rally-inspired floating center hubs, and color-matched JCW tire valve caps.

Step inside, and the cockpit greets occupants with edition-specific door sills featuring white "1965" lettering set against a red and black backdrop. A commemorative plaque placed on the inside of the door jamb reflects details of the historic 1965 rally. The anthracite and red interior theme is complemented by "1965" branding on the 6 o'clock steering wheel spoke and center console storage box, while the vehicle key cap also bears the victorious rally car's racing number.

Under the hood lies a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine generating 231 hp from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and 380 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 4,000 rpm. Mated to a 7-speed Steptronic automatic transmission driving the front wheels, the hot hatch accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

Priced at Php 4,649,000, the one-of-one allocation Mini 1965 Victory Edition may already be spoken for, but Mini Philippines confirmed that three more special edition models are scheduled to drop locally before the end of the year.
