Nissan PH to launch facelifted Z sports car in 2027
New Nissan Z features many upgrades, especially the NISMO model
If you were in the market for a Z sports car in the last few months, then you would have heard of the pretty great offer from Nissan Philippines. I mean, a discount that is knocking on the door of a million pesos is pretty irresistible if you really want the car.
Of course, if you’re familiar with how the auto market works, then you’ll understand the underlying message: they’re working to finish off the stocks of the vehicle, often to pave the way for the newer model. That’s exactly what’s about to happen.
According to our reliable source, the new and improved Nissan Z will be launched in the Philippines sometime in 2027. That’s why Nissan was busy running out of the stocks of the existing model so they could free up yard space for the incoming vehicle.

Originally, we heard that they were aiming for a possible launch in late 2026 or early 2027, but given the volatility of the market right now with fuel prices as well as the extremely low PHP relative to the USD, it’s likely that they will delay that and hope for a better situation overall.
What can we expect from the new Z? The car has had a bit of a facelift with a new front bumper that Nissan says enhances the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The front intake has been enlarged and looks more trapezoidal rather than rectangular, and it now gets a body-colored slat in the middle.
They’re also debuting a new hero color called Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic, as well as new 19” wheel designs depending on the variant; local variants haven’t been specified yet, but in other markets they have Z Sport, Z Performance, and Z NISMO. In the Philippines, we had just the Z Premium and Z NISMO.
The interior gets more options like tan leather and other bits and pieces, but it has largely stayed the same. They added a wireless charger for your smartphone with a cooling fan as well as improvements to the active sound enhancement of the vehicle, but that’s about all that was mentioned in the press kit.

The meaningful upgrades, however, are with the dynamics of the vehicle, particularly with the Z NISMO. There are enhancements to the V6 Twin Turbo, improvements to the suspension with larger diameter tubes, upgrades to the steering wheel, and even an upgraded fuel tank to ensure a stable supply to the engine, even at high G cornering. And then there’s the ultimate upgrade for purists: a 6-speed manual offering as well as the 9-speed auto for the NISMO model.
As for what variants we will get in the Philippines, Nissan will likely retain the same model mix of having a sole Z Premium variant with two transmission options (manual and auto), as well as the Z NISMO. The original Z NISMO model only had the automatic, so hopefully they offer the manual as well.
