Report: Ferrari 12Cilindri could get 6-speed manual gearbox version
Ferrari's latest V12 grand tourer will get a manual version but only in limited numbers
Ferrari certainly surprised everyone this week when they finally revealed their first-ever electric car, the Luce. While it has hypercar performance thanks to its four electric motors that deliver a combined 1,050 PS and 990 Nm of torque, its exterior design garnered mixed reactions despite its retro-inspired cabin.
While the Luce won't be replacing Ferrari's lineup of V6, V8, and V12 stallions anytime soon, some fans have been missing one particular feature of Maranello's thoroughbreds, a proper manual gearbox. After nearly two decades of not offering a vehicle equipped with a manual gearbox since the Ferrari 599 Fiorano GTB, it looks like the Prancing Horse is set to bring back the manual transmission for a very special stallion.

According to a report by The Supercar Blog, sources familiar with the matter say that the 12Cilindri will apparently get a manual transmission. However, it will reportedly only be offered in limited quantities, much like the 599 Fiorano GTB, wherein only a small number of the 599 came with a 6-speed manual transmission.
In true Ferrari fashion, the manual version of the 12Cilindri will supposedly be offered exclusively to the brand's select clients. This means the Prancing Horse will be the one to choose who will get their hands on such a rare “Dodici Cilindri”.

As far as the 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 is concerned, the engine will remain as is to deliver 830 PS and 678 Nm of torque. This is surprising since most automakers today dial down the power to preserve a manual transmission's durability when paired with high-horsepower and high-torque engines.
The gated manual version of the Ferrari 12Cilindri will reportedly make its global debut later this July, but not before being shown first to select clients on June 29, 2026, at Ferrari Cavalcade.
