VinFast has appointed Pham Nhat Quan Anh as its new chairman of the board, marking a leadership transition as the Vietnamese electric vehicle maker continues its aggressive global expansion efforts.
The appointment officially took effect on May 23, 2026, replacing Le Thi Thu Thuy, who stepped down as chairwoman and board member of the company. Despite leaving her role at VinFast, Thuy will continue serving as vice chairwoman of Vingroup, the company’s major shareholder, where she will focus on broader strategic priorities.
Quan Anh currently serves as vice chairman and standing deputy general director of VinFast Trading and Production JSC. He is also widely known as the eldest son of Vingroup founder and billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong.

According to VinFast, the leadership change is intended to help support the company’s next phase of growth as it continues expanding its operations in global markets, including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
In a statement, Quan Anh said he was honored to assume the role and emphasized that VinFast remains focused on long-term growth, innovation, and strengthening its global operations and customer experience.
The young executive, who's reportedly just in his early 30s, graduated from Singapore Management University with a degree in business management. Before joining VinFast in 2019, he previously worked at Vinpearl, where he held senior operational and management roles.
Since joining VinFast, Quan Anh has handled several key positions involving vehicle development, manufacturing, global sales, marketing, aftersales, planning, and quality control. VinFast said he played a major role in the company’s rapid growth from a domestic Vietnamese automaker into an expanding global EV brand.
