Larger Kia PV7 electric van spotted preparing for September debut in two weeks
Kia PV7 electric commercial van spied in likely final tests ahead of official debut in Hanover
Following official teasers and ongoing prototype testing, Kia is preparing to expand its commercial electric vehicle lineup with the world premiere of this rather large all-electric PV7.
The large commercial van is scheduled to make its official debut on September 14, 2026, during the press day at the IAA Transportation trade show in Hanover, Germany. The incoming model represents the second entry in Kia’s dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, sitting directly above the smaller PV5 to offer a larger, more spacious alternative for commercial users.

Built on Kia's dedicated E-GMP.S (Electric Global Modular Platform for Service) architecture, the production PV7 stays true to the proportions hinted at during its initial concept stage, which measured approximately 5.30 meters in length. With its larger dimensions and modular platform, the PV7 aims to compete directly against established commercial mainstays such as the Volkswagen T7 and Ford Transit Custom.
Engineered specifically for fleet operators and commercial businesses needing substantial cargo volume, the PV7 will be offered in both panel van (cargo) and glazed passenger configurations.

At the rear, buyers will be able to select between a standard upward-opening tailgate or dual side-opening barn doors fitted with external hinges. Additionally, while the smaller PV5 houses its charging port at the front, the larger PV7 places its charging flap at the rear right quarter panel for easier access at commercial charging stations.
