Suzuki continues to launch more EVs after the Japanese automaker revealed an all-electric kei car to take on the likes of the BYD Racco, the Nissan Sakura, the Mitsubishi ek X EV, and the Honda N-One.

After being revealed as a concept vehicle at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), Suzuki has officially taken the covers off the e Sky. Despite being a kei car, Suzuki says the tiny EV can do more than 300 km on a single charge.

While full specifications have yet to be revealed, the e Sky will reportedly get a 26 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack. Suzuki says that on a full charge, the e Sky can do up to 310 km. In comparison, the BYD Racco has a bigger 35.84 kWh battery, which they claim can cover up to 320 km. The 26 kWh battery then powers a single electric motor that drives the front wheels. Suzuki has yet to reveal the power output, but we won't be surprised if it makes 64 PS, just like most kei cars.

When it comes to recharging the e Sky, Suzuki says that it can be recharged from near empty to 100% in just 4.5 hours when connected to a 6 kW AC wallbox charger. However, it's also compatible with a 50 kW DC fast charger, which can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in only 25 minutes. Alternatively, it can also be charged via a standard home outlet, but a full charge will take around 8 hours to finish. Last but not least, the Suzuki e Sky comes with a vehicle-to-home (V2H) or V2L function and supports up to 1500W of output for external devices.

Style-wise, the e Sky largely resembles the Vision e-Sky Concept. However, Suzuki softened its look to meet regulations, while still preserving its concept-inspired looks. The front fascia gets a pair of distinct LED headlights and matte black accents on the grille & bumper. Despite its small dimensions, the Suzuki e Sky still comes with four doors and a tailgate. It also gets stylish LED taillights and a large back window for added exterior visibility.

Speaking of dimensions, the e Sky measures 3395mm long, 1475mm wide, and 1625mm tall on a 2460mm wheelbase.

Hop inside, and the e Sky welcomes occupants into a tiny yet spacious cabin. It can seat a total of four people and comes with some nifty features. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a dedicated panel for the climate control, and a traditional gear selector that's placed on the dashboard.

The electric kei car may be small, but it comes with big car features, such as a heated steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, and a heat pump with an electric air heater that can keep occupants warm during the wintertime.

The Suzuki e Sky is set to hit the Japanese market in Autumn 2026, which means it will be a short wait for eager customers. However, the Suzuki e Sky will also be exported to other global markets like Europe and the UK in 2027.
