SPIED: All-new Nissan Juke going full EV?

The third-generation Nissan Juke could trade internal combustion for electric propulsion

Believe it or not, it's been over six years since Nissan released the second-generation Juke. While we didn't get it here in the Philippines, it was still nice to see that the funky crossover is still popular in other markets, particularly in Europe. It even got updated for the 2024 model year, which saw the return of the distinct yellow hue that the crossover became known for.

Fast forward to the end of 2025, and Nissan is already busy testing the next-generation Juke. This comes after our spies managed to take pictures of the all-new Nissan Juke, albeit covered in camouflage.

Featuring a complete redesign, the all-new Juke will have a more coupe-like profile, along with more sculpted surfaces, sharp edges, and a steeply sloping roofline. The result is a more clear-cut design that moves away from its funky design origins to a more aggressive yet distinct exterior.

Platform-wise, the third-generation Juke will most likely use the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi CMF EV architecture, which is seeing use in the Ariya and Leaf EVs. In addition, the all-new Juke could come with 40 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs on the entry-level and mid-range variants. On the other hand, top-of-the-line models could get the bigger 63 kWh battery derived from the Ariya. With it, this could give the Juke an EV range between 400 and 480 km based on the WLTP cycle.

Last but not least, a single electric motor could power the base and mid-grade versions, while the higher-grade variants could come with dual electric motors for better performance.

With the official launch of the all-new Juke slated for 2026, we can expect Nissan to take the covers off in either Q1 or Q2 of next year. The only question now is, could the automaker still offer ICE versions of the next-generation model?
