Mitsubishi Motors PH is in the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show to announce its return to the electrified segment with the preview of the all-new Outlander PHEV. But while they’re at it, the Japanese automaker is also intent to show a new variant of its existing model.

Making its debut at PIMS is the XForce GLX, which now serves as the new entry level variant in the XForce lineup. While omissions have been made on the feature list compared to the existing GLS and GT variants, the new XForce GLX serves as the more affordable option for those who want to own a decent-sized five-door crossover from Mitsubishi.

On the outside, the XForce GLX carries over most of the XForce’s signature design features such as the Thor hammer-shaped LED headlights and the DRLs, but comes with more flat black trims on the body cladding. The XForce GLX comes with its unique set of 17-inch wheels in a dark gray finish.

Inside, the XForce GLX features the same monolithic dashboard design, but visibly comes with a smaller touchscreen unit that still comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. There’s also an analog instrument cluster in place of the digital cluster found in higher variants, with a 4” multi-information display in the middle. The Yamaha premium sound system has also been replaced with a standard six speaker setup.

The seats are finished in fabric, but synthetic leather is found on the soft padding of the dashboard and touchpoints, such as the door cards and the armrest. Likewise, it still retains the 40:20:40 split rear seat folding function, and rear A/C vents.

Powering the XForce GLX is the same 1.5-liter 4A91 four-cylinder, naturally aspirated MIVEC gasoline engine. It makes 105 PS and 141 Nm of torque, and is paired to a CVT that drives the front wheels. Other notable omissions include the AYC, cruise control, ADAS, and the trick drive modes that the GLS and the GT variants have.

MMPC adjusted the pricing of the GLS variant of the XForce at PHP 1.299M, while the 2026 Mitsubishi XForce GLX retails for PHP 1.119M.
