Nissan PH opens reservations for new Kicks e-Power
Nissan PH reveals initial specs of new Kicks e-Power
After being previewed at this year's Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), Nissan is set to launch yet another electrified vehicle. Since Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) already revealed the X-Trail e-Power, the Japanese automaker is set to reveal the new Kicks e-Power.
That's right, the heavily updated version of the Nissan Kicks e-Power is getting ready for its Philippine debut, and the automaker is now accepting reservations. More importantly, the brand has revealed the initial specifications and features of the refreshed hybrid B-SUV.

For starters, the refreshed Kicks e-Power will most likely get the carried-over 1.2L three-cylinder engine, which acts as a generator. This then powers a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that drives the front wheels. The result is a power output of 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque from the electric motor.
Meanwhile, the interior of the new Kicks e-Power has been completely redesigned and features a new digital instrument cluster, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, and a redesigned center console and automatic climate control. Amenities like wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto are also likely to be available once launched.

Perhaps one of the biggest upgrades the new Nissan Kicks e-Power will get is the availability of Nissan Connect. This will allow users to use an app on their smartphone to keep track of the vehicle's status and control certain vehicle functions. These include remote engine start and real-time vehicle monitoring.
For extra peace of mind while on the road, the new Kicks e-Power will also be available with an upgraded suite of advanced driver-assist systems. While the brand has yet to reveal them, it will most likely get forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system with blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, and more.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has already recognized four variants of the new Nissan Kicks e-Power. Based on what the agency has released, the Kicks e-Power may be offered in VE, VL, LE, and LE Plus, including Premium Color versions. With that, we can expect Nissan to have a wide array of variants available for interested customers.
With Nissan Philippines now accepting reservations, the official launch of the new Nissan Kicks e-Power may happen very soon, perhaps sometime in August.
