After being previewed at the 10th Philippine International Auto Show (PIMS) and Nissan PH opening the reservation books last month, the automaker is ready to launch its refreshed hybrid B-SUV. Set to make its Philippine debut on August 28 is the 2026 Nissan Kicks e-Power.

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) will hold the official launch of the updated Kicks e-Power at the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center next week. Like its predecessor, the refreshed Kicks e-Power will be electrified and will likely get the carried-over 1.2L three-cylinder engine serving as a generator, along with an electric motor and a small lithium-ion battery pack.

Beyond that, interested customers can also expect the new Kicks e-Power to get a new touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a redesigned instrument panel & center console, new leather upholstery, and improved Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) deadening. Moreover, it will be available with Nissan Connect Services, as well as the brand's upgraded ProPilot suite of advanced driver assist (ADAS) features.

Design-wise, the updated Kicks e-Power gets a more striking exterior that's similar to the Thai-spec model. It gets sleek LED headlights & taillights, more aggressive bumpers, and dynamic two-tone alloy wheels.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has already recognized the new Kicks e-Power as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) earlier this year. In fact, once launched, there could be a total of four variants on offer: VE, VL, LE, and LE Plus. There will also be Premium Color options, which may likely include the new Electric Cyan option that was shown at this year's PIMS.

With the 2026 Kicks e-Power set for its Philippine debut on August 28, we won't be surprised if interest in the electrified crossover continues to grow ahead of the launch. The only question now is: what will be its starting price?
