MG Go! and Cyber Concepts electrify at 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed
The two concepts embody MG's evolving EV strategy, blending classic design with modern electric platforms
MG has taken the wraps off two new concept vehicles during the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, offering a glimpse at the brand's future electric lineup. Leading the debut is the MG Go! Concept, a compact EV that previews the production-bound MG2 hatchback expected to arrive in 2027, alongside the larger Cyber Concept electric SUV.

Designed as an affordable electric hatchback with broad appeal, the Go! Concept blends retro-inspired styling with a modern EV design. MG says it drew inspiration from several of its iconic models, including the MGB GT, the Metro 6R4 Group B rally car, and the MG ZR hot hatch, while avoiding a direct retro revival.

The concept features a distinctive front fascia reminiscent of the MGB GT, flared wheel arches inspired by the 6R4, and a compact, athletic stance aimed at younger buyers. According to MG, the goal was to capture the emotional appeal of its heritage while creating a thoroughly modern electric car.

The Go! Concept serves as a preview of the upcoming MG2, which is expected to compete against electric subcompacts such as the Renault 5 E-Tech and Mini Cooper Electric when it enters production in 2027.

Joining it at Goodwood is the Cyber Concept, a flagship electric SUV that explores a more premium and performance-oriented direction for the brand. Compared to the production-ready Go! Concept, the Cyber Concept remains an early design study and currently lacks a finished interior.

Its sleek, coupe-like proportions and muscular bodywork give it a sportier appearance than traditional SUVs, with MG citing the record-breaking EX181 streamliner as one of its inspirations. While the concept hints at MG's future design language, the company has yet to confirm whether it will eventually enter production or be offered globally.

Both concepts highlight MG's continued push into the EV segment, combining heritage-inspired styling with new electric platforms as the brand expands its global lineup.
