Lexus Philippines has already launched one of its two sedans that they announced would be revealed this year. After revealing the 2026 Lexus IS last May, the automaker's next vehicle might be the all-new Lexus ES.

This comes after Lexus Philippines posted teasers on social media with the captions “Confidence Isn't Loud. It's simply there” and “In The Quiet, There's Power”. Based on the accompanying teaser photos, it looks like the eighth-generation Lexus ES will be making its debut very soon.

Based on the Department of Energy's (DOE) list of recognized EVs in the country, the all-new Lexus ES for PH might only be offered as an EV. In fact, the DOE has listed it as the Lexus ES 350e and has a 74.68 kWh battery pack with a maximum electric output of 167 kW or 227 PS.

In other markets, the all-new ES 350e has a single electric motor that drives the front wheels and puts out 227 PS with 269 Nm of torque. On a full charge, Lexus claims the ES 350e with a 74.68 kWh battery gives it a range of up to 530 km, based on the WLTP cycle. Recharging the ES 350e can be done with either a 6 kW AC charging station or a faster DC charger that supports up to 150 kW.

Since the current seventh-generation Lexus ES is overdue for a full model change, we might not have to wait too long for the automaker to reveal the all-new eighth-generation ES. But since the latest ES might only be offered as an EV, those looking for a hybrid midsize sedan may have to look elsewhere or stick with the Toyota Camry HEV.
