WATCH: Lamborghini locks horns with Ferrari in upcoming biopic
Check out the trailer for 'Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend
Back in late 2019, we were treated to the racing drama that was Ford v Ferrari. Essentially a retelling of the infamous rivalry between the two automakers during the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Blue Oval was able to beat the Prancing Horse in the grueling endurance race and proved that the GT40 can keep up with the 330 P3.
But even before Ford and Ferrari locked horns, the Prancing Horse was already involved with the Italian automaker, Lamborghini. And now, we'll be seeing another movie soon that will also retell the real-life rivalry between Ferrari and The House of The Raging Bull.
The movie is called “Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend” and it will show how and why the famous tractor builder turned supercar maker went on to prove to Ferrari that they can make better cars. The upcoming biopic will center around Ferruccio Lamborghini's decision to beat Ferrari in his own game, as well as the struggles and hardships the company faced through the years.

Throughout the movie, several cars from Lamborghini will be shown. These include the brand's first-ever production car the 350 GT, the Countach (which became synonymous with the brand's identity), and the iconic Miura. There will also be other several cars in the movie which include a Porsche 356 and (strangely) a Ferrari Mondial which we'll get to later.
The titular character will be played by Frank Grillo who some may know as Brock Rumlow (later Crossbones) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Meanwhile, Enzo Ferrari will be portrayed by Irish actor Gabriel Byrne.

While the trailer itself looks captivating, there was an odd section where it showed Lamborghini in a blue Countach racing Enzo whose driving a red Ferrari Mondial. This particular scene doesn't add up because the Mondial was first released in 1980. Around that time, Enzo would have already been 82 years old since he died in 1988 at the age of 90. In addition, Ferruccio Lamborghini sold ownership of his company back in 1974.

However, the racing scene might have been deliberately shot for dramatization purposes since the rivalry between the two was very heated at the time.

The upcoming movie will be released on November 18, 2022, in the US and other countries. Hopefully, we don't have to wait long for its premiere here in the Philippines. But in case you're a red-blooded Ferrari fan, there's also another movie coming out next year that will star Adam Driver and will see Enzo join the Mille Miglia 1,000-mile race across Italy.
