Ferrari Purosangue gets extra dose of agility with Handling Speciale
Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale receives recalibrated suspension and subtle upgrades
When Ferrari revealed the Purosangue, Maranello proved to the world that a four-door, four-seater with a V12 engine is possible. With 725 PS on tap and comfortable seating for four full-sized adults, space is not a problem in the Purosangue.
But for enthusiasts who want to extract more handling abilities from the V12-powered Purosangue, Ferrari has something special for customers. Say buon giorno to the Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale (HS), and from its namesake, this particular thoroughbred gets an extra helping of handling upgrades.

While it still gets the same 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 that pushes out 725 PS, Ferrari sharpened its suspension without compromising everyday usability. With an emphasis on extracting a sportier drive, Ferrari revised the calibration of the Purosangue’s active suspension system to deliver quicker response to driver inputs.
The state-of-the-art independent four-wheel steering system, 6-way chassis dynamic sensor, and 4RM-S AWD system have been further refined to deliver quicker inputs from the driver. In fact, Ferrari says that the Handling Speciale calibration further reduces body movement by up to 10%. The result is a more compact, controlled feel, particularly during quick direction changes where weight transfer is most pronounced.

The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission of the Purosangue HS has been recalibrated as well to deliver smoother and quicker gear changes. In regular driving, the gear changes remain smooth and fast as standard. However, in “Race” and “ESC Off” modes, manually changing gears via the paddle shifters becomes sharper and more engaging. This becomes more apparent when the engine goes above 5500 RPM.
Meanwhile, the V12 soundtrack has been intensified inside the cabin. The V12 engine is more vocal upon startup and under acceleration, which further connects the driver to the powertrain and chassis, according to Ferrari.

How to tell the difference between a regular Purosangue and a Purosangue HS? Well, Ferrari decided to keep it subtle by giving the Handling Speciale new diamond-cut alloy wheels, carbon fiber side shields, and matte black exhaust tips. Last but not least, it has a dedicated interior plaque, which you can see between the rear seats as a reminder you’re in something special.

For Ferrari fans who value handling over sheer speed, the Purosangue HS is truly something special. Those who want to get one for themselves can get it via special request.
