ST205: This 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four is still rally-ready
This car captures an era when Toyota took rallying seriously, and built cars to prove it.
There are fast Japanese cars, and then there are cars built because Toyota needed something fast enough to go rallying.
This 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 belongs firmly in the latter category. Currently offered on Bring a Trailer, this right-hand-drive example is one of approximately 2,500 homologation cars built for the 1994 model year to satisfy Group A World Rally Championship requirements.

This particular example has covered 119,000 kilometers and spent its early life in Japan before making its way to the United States in 2019. Its current owner acquired it through Bring a Trailer later that year.

Since then, the car has undergone a mix of restoration work and enthusiast-focused upgrades that add both character and value. Rare 15-inch Racing Hart D-Spec Superlative Racing Dish wheels, wrapped in Yokohama Advan Fleva tires, give it a period JDM look, while a Fujitsubo cat-back exhaust adds a more purposeful soundtrack.

At its heart is Toyota’s turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE inline-four, packing 251 PS and 304 Nm of torque in Japanese-market specification. Power goes through an E154 five-speed manual transaxle to a permanent all-wheel-drive system with a viscous center coupling and torque-sensing rear differential.
The 3S-GTE also features an intercooler with a water sprayer and an anti-lag system, competition-spec hardware that further hints at the ST205's race-oriented roots.
This wasn't simply a sporty Celica. It was Toyota’s road-going answer to an era of turbocharged, all-wheel-drive rally monsters.

Preventive maintenance has also been thoroughly addressed, with the timing belt, water pump, intercooler pump, thermostat, seals, starter relay, battery, and drive belts all replaced, helping keep this rally-bred Celica ready for any special stage.
Visually, the GT-Four gets all the right ingredients: a distinctive front bumper with integrated fog lamps, hood vents, a tall rear wing, and Rally Armor mud guards. The car is finished in Toyota Black, although several exterior panels have been repainted.

Inside, the cabin remains largely original and in pristine condition, retaining its gray fabric bucket seats. Period-inspired upgrades include a Nardi Personal steering wheel, TRD shift knob, and auxiliary boost, coolant, and fuel gauges. Modern touches such as a Kenwood touchscreen head unit, backup camera, upgraded speakers, and JL Audio subwoofer add convenience while preserving the car’s period character.

This isn't a concours-perfect museum piece. The seller notes that the paint protection film is lifting in places and that the rear window rubber seal isn't completely flush with the body. The driver's seat was also repaired in July 2026.
But perhaps that's part of the appeal.

The ST205 was built in an era when Toyota was constantly developing serious machinery for the WRC, giving enthusiasts a taste of that technology in a road car.
With bidding currently pegged at $26,062 (approximately PHP 1.61 million) as of writing and the auction still underway, this Celica GT-Four offers a compelling combination of turbo power, a manual gearbox, permanent AWD, and genuine homologation pedigree.
For enthusiasts who grew up during the golden age of Japanese performance cars, the ST205 GT-Four remains the kind of machine that deserves to be driven, not simply displayed.
