Omoda 04 revealed as a stylish B-SUV hybrid; will PH get it?
Omoda C4 makes official debut at Auto China 2026
Omoda Jaecoo Motor Philippines (OJPH) wowed everyone at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) when they launched a subcompact sub-million Pesos hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), the Jaecoo J5. With a base price of PHP 999,000, buyers who are looking to get a brand-new hybrid are in for a treat that won't break the bank.
In the future, the J5 will be accompanied by its B-SUV sibling from Omoda. Making its official debut at Auto China 2026 (AKA Beijing Auto Show) is the Omoda 04 SHS-H. Also called the Omoda C4, the crossover, just like the Jaecoo J5, is a subcompact crossover SUV that is available with a turbo-hybrid powertrain. But instead of having a Land Rover-like exterior, the Omoda 04 features a Lamborghini Urus-inspired design.

From the aggressively designed front fascia to the sleek roofline, as well as the angular wheel arches and dynamic LED taillights, the Omoda 04 is a looker in every direction. It also features a floating roof design, thanks to the hidden D-pillars on the rear-most side windows. Other notable exterior details are the two-tone alloy wheels, the generous use of black body cladding, and the bulbous rear wheel arches that highlight the vehicle's rear quarter panels.
Hop inside, and the Omoda 04 welcomes occupants into a stylish and tech-laden cabin. It has a minimalist dashboard, which only consists of a digital instrument cluster and a tablet-inspired touchscreen infotainment system. But what really caught our attention was the Lamborghini-inspired push-start button on the center console.

Don't expect to find a gear selector on the center console, as the 04 also makes use of an electronic column shifter to make more cabin space. Other amenities you'll find inside the 04 include a pair of cupholders, a wireless charging pad, physical buttons for certain HVAC and in-car functions, and leather upholstery with red contrast stitching.

Under the hood, the 04 is available with various powertrains. However, the PH-spec model will likely be powered by the brand's SHS-H powertrain, which is already seeing use in the Jaecoo J5 HEV. That means a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that's assisted by an electric motor. Official output figures have yet to be revealed, but we won't be surprised if it makes the same 224 PS as the J5 HEV. Power will then be sent to the front wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
Other available powertrains include a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four, which produces 147 PS with 210 Nm of torque and is coupled to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Last but not least is an EV version, which could come with a single electric motor that puts out 211 PS with 280 Nm and is powered by a 58.9 kWh battery pack. On a full charge, the Omoda C4 is rated to deliver up to 461 km of range, based on the NEDC cycle.

There's no exact timeline yet as to when the Omoda 04 will be revealed, but it could be revealed later this year for the Philippine market. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that our hunch is right.
