Nexera Vision: Acura's new design direction looks out of this world
Acura's next chapter of cars looks bold with Nexera Vision concept
Acura is giving the world a glimpse of what its next generation of cars could look like with the debut of the striking Nexera Vision concept at Monterey Car Week.

Set to be unveiled at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, the concept introduces a bold new design language that Acura believes will appeal to enthusiasts by combining dramatic proportions, high-tech details, and performance-focused styling as the brand looks toward its next chapter.

Created at Acura Design California in Los Angeles under the direction of Acura Creative Director and Vice President of Auto Design Yasutake Tsuchida, the Nexera Vision will influence future Acura models, starting with the fourth-generation RDX Hybrid expected in the coming years.

The concept features a wide, muscular stance, a long dash-to-axle ratio, a sleek one-motion cabin, and dramatic dual-hinge butterfly doors. Active aerodynamic elements, including a rear spoiler that manages airflow across the rear decklid, enhance efficiency, high-speed stability, and braking performance.

Finished in matte titanium, the Nexera Vision features a striking profile defined by its wide, muscular stance, long dash-to-axle ratio, and sleek one-motion cabin. Forged carbon is used extensively throughout the body, including the aero-channel fascia, rear diffuser, rocker panels, and inner door structures.

Adding to its performance-focused appearance are 21-inch center-lock wheels featuring an intricate six-spoke design with forged-carbon inserts, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires and paired with high-performance carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes.

One of the Nexera Vision’s most distinctive features is Acura’s new lighting signature. Inspired by the brand’s “A” mark, ultra-thin headlights and taillights are integrated into the bodywork and use a “phantom lighting” effect. The new lighting design will debut on future production Acura models, starting with the next-generation RDX Hybrid.

Inside, the concept takes a sporty, driver-focused approach with a minimalist design designed for performance, eliminating distractions such as large LCD screens to amplify the visceral thrill of driving. A pair of performance-oriented seats are integrated into the floor for a lower driving position, while the steering wheel and pedals adjust to suit the driver.

Acura also incorporates sustainable materials throughout the cabin, including recycled aluminum, Alcantara made with certified post-consumer recycled polyester, and CircuLeather, a genuine leather material designed to support a more circular lifecycle.

Following its global debut, the Nexera Vision will be displayed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Concept Lawn over the weekend.
