LTO: Suspended & revoked licenses now at 1,108 (and counting)
LTO suspends, revokes 1,108 driver’s licenses since October 2025
Just last month, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) reported that it has suspended or revoked 830 driver’s licenses of erring motorists. This means at least 830 reckless drivers, road ragers, and entitled drivers (insert: wang-wang) have been removed from driving, making our roads safer for law-abiding motorists and other road users.
Now, the LTO is at it again, reporting that a total of 1,108 driver’s licenses have been suspended or revoked since Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao took the helm as chief in October 2025. This also means an additional 278 erring drivers have been effectively removed from the streets, preventing a potential road crash or even another road rage incident before they happen.
“Ang pinakamahalagang sukatan ng ating kampanya ay hindi ang dami ng lisensyang nasususpinde o nababawi, kundi ang pagdami ng mga motoristang sumusunod sa batas. Nananawagan tayo sa lahat na pairalin ang disiplina, paggalang sa kapwa, at responsableng pagmamaneho sa bawat biyahe,” said Lacanilao.

(The most important measure of our campaign is not the number of licenses suspended or revoked, but the growing number of motorists who obey the law. We call on everyone to practice discipline, respect for others, and responsible driving on every journey.)
Based on the latest figures from the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID), a total of 618 driver’s licenses have been revoked, while 490 have been suspended (since October 2025).
Of the revoked licenses, 102 motorists were permanently stripped of their driving privileges, meaning they can no longer legally drive. Another 476 had their licenses revoked for two years, 32 for four years, and 8 for one year. Meanwhile, the suspended licenses were broken down as follows: 336 motorists were suspended for three months, 105 for one year, 37 for one month, 11 for six months, and 1 for seven months.
The LTO also noted that in just three weeks, from June 11 to July 4, 2026, it had already revoked 184 licenses and suspended 94 others (total 278) for various serious traffic violations. According to the agency, the figures also reflect its continuing crackdown on motorists who violate traffic laws.
