Jetour T1 Lightning PHEV to get new Pro variant in PH?
LTO approves Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM Pro for Philippine market
Back in June, we noticed the Department of Energy (DOE) updated its list of recognized plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) with what could be an AWD variant of the Jetour T2 Lightning. Since it's already been listed by the agency, it might not take long for Jetour Auto Philippines to launch it.
Now that we're in the month of July, it looks like the Jetour T1 Lightning PHEV might also get a new version. This comes after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) released homologation documents for a new Jetour T1 Lightning model. Based on a recently released memorandum circular, the full model name of the vehicle is “Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM Pro”.

Based on the initial specifications, the T1 Lightning i-DM Pro will remain mechanically unchanged, as it will still have a 1499cc turbo-gasoline engine (1.5L) and a plug-in hybrid system. In addition, it's listed to have a maximum electric power of 150 kW or 204 PS from its electric motor, and a maximum EV range of up to 117 km, based on the WLTC cycle.
While other details about the new T1 Lightning PHEV variant remain a mystery, perhaps the “Pro” version will have off-road-inspired features and equipment, along with exclusive interior & exterior extras.
Since the LTO has already cleared the T1 Lightning i-DM Pro, we're curious if Jetour Auto Philippines plans to reveal it alongside the T2 Lightning i-DM AWD.
