Jaecoo reveals more details about J5 EV ahead of Philippine debut
Jaecoo details what buyers can expect from the upcoming J5 EV
With its Philippine launch just around the corner, Jaecoo has shared more details about the all-electric J5 EV, giving prospective buyers a better idea of what the compact SUV will bring to the local market.
Positioned as the electric counterpart to the gasoline-powered J5, the EV is aimed at buyers looking for a practical daily driver that combines modern technology, safety features, and the lower running costs associated with an electric powertrain.

On the outside, the J5 EV adopts a cleaner and more streamlined look while retaining the upright SUV proportions of its internal combustion sibling. Slim LED lighting, a closed-off front fascia, and aerodynamic styling help distinguish it from the standard model.
Inside, the cabin focuses on space and technology. Jaecoo says the J5 EV will feature a large infotainment display paired with a fully digital instrument cluster, along with wireless smartphone connectivity, voice controls, and connected vehicle functions designed to make everyday driving more convenient.

The company is also putting a strong emphasis on safety. Depending on the variant, the J5 EV will be available with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera system. These are complemented by multiple airbags and a reinforced body structure.
While Jaecoo has yet to release the complete Philippine specifications, the brand says the J5 EV is intended to appeal to motorists who want premium features without stepping into the higher price brackets occupied by larger electric SUVs.

The J5 EV also forms part of Jaecoo’s broader push into the growing Philippine EV market. The brand has been steadily expanding its local presence through new dealerships while adding electrified models to its lineup.
More details, including the J5 EV’s full specifications, pricing, and local availability, are expected to be announced during its official Philippine launch.
