Honda Jazz is now 25 years old; fourth-gen model gets updates
Honda celebrates 25th anniversary of the Jazz with subtle upgrades
If there's one vehicle from Honda that we sorely miss, it's probably the Jazz. Also called the Honda Fit, the stylish and sporty hatchback essentially proved that five-door hatches need not be boring.
While the Philippine market got to enjoy the Jazz from the first to third-generation models, we sadly did not get the fourth-generation hatchback after it debuted at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. We instead got the City Hatchback, which became Honda's B-segment hatchback offering in Southeast Asia and other markets.

In celebration of the hatchback's 25th anniversary, Honda revealed the 2026 Jazz, which received subtle updates, model variant changes, and a revamped list of features. Starting with its design, the fourth-generation Jazz still looks the same as the 2022 facelift. From the eye-catching LED daytime running lights to the dynamic LED headlights, as well as the sporty side profile and unmistakable LED taillights, the hatchback still looks good as ever.
However, the Jazz RS gets a sportier and more dynamic appearance, thanks to the use of gloss black accents and 16-inch alloy wheels that get a new finish. It also gets unique bumpers, which give the hatchback a sleeker and more aggressive appearance. But perhaps serving as the most important upgrade is the RS-tuned suspension that aims to deliver sharper handling.

Inside, the cabin of the Jazz is now available with suede & leather upholstery and blacked-out pillars, with red contrast stitching on the top-of-the-line RS. Infotainment comes in the form of a 9-inch touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. Like the CR-V, HR-V, and Civic, the Jazz now also comes with the three dials for the automatic climate control.
Just like its predecessors, the latest Jazz still comes with the brand's Magic Seats. Also called ULTR seats, users can set the rear seats of the hatchback to Utility, Long, Tall, and Refresh modes. This makes storing all kinds of cargo and items easier and less of a hassle, despite the Jazz being a hatchback.

Under the hood, the Honda Jazz is available with two powertrains. First up is the 1.5L naturally aspirated i-VTEC inline-four, which makes 115 PS with 142 Nm of torque and is paired to a CVT that drives the front wheels. On certain models, the 1.5L engine can be paired with an AWD system.
The next powertrain is the 1.5L e:HEV hybrid, assisted by an electric motor and a compact lithium-ion battery. The result is a combined system output of 123 PS and 253 Nm of torque, which is what the HR-V e:HEV also makes.

While it's sad that we no longer get the Honda Jazz, at least it's nice to see that the hatchback is alive and well in other markets.
