Geely is bringing its newest global hybrid SUV to the Philippines as the Geely Monjaro EM-i prepares to make its local debut in October 2026. Billed by the brand as their Executive Performance Flagship, the Monjaro EM-i combines commanding SUV presence, powerful performance, premium comfort, intelligent technology, and plug-in hybrid efficiency in one sophisticated package.

Designed for accomplished individuals who expect more from every journey, the Monjaro EM-i brings together the qualities expected from a modern executive SUV: presence, performance, comfort, and intelligent technology. Moreover, its D-segment proportions create a spacious and premium cabin, while its refined exterior design gives the Monjaro EM-i a strong road presence suited to both business and lifestyle occasions.

At the heart of the Monjaro EM-i is Geely’s EM-i Super Hybrid system, developed to balance responsive performance with efficient energy use. More than likely, it will be similar to what the EX5 EM-i gets, albeit more powerful. In fact, the Monjaro EM-i will introduce Geely's e-AWD Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Drive System to its overseas model lineup, providing enhanced traction, stability, and driving confidence across a wider range of road conditions.

The Monjaro EM-i is built on Geely’s new-energy-native GEA Evo architecture, engineered to support flexible space utilization, multi-energy compatibility, advanced safety, & intelligent vehicle technologies.

The architecture is complemented by Geely’s GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture, providing the foundation for a more connected and intelligent vehicle experience. Inside the cabin, the Monjaro EM-i features Geely’s Flyme Auto intelligent infotainment system, creating a smart cockpit designed to continuously evolve with the needs of its users.

Beyond performance and technology, the Monjaro EM-i places strong emphasis on the quality of the journey itself. Its spacious cabin and premium interior are designed around the needs of modern executives and their passengers, creating an environment that is equally suited to business, family, and leisure.

While official specifications are not yet available, the Department of Energy (DOE) has already recognized the Monjaro EM-i and even mentioned its initial specifications. Based on the agency's listing, the Monjaro EM-i will have a 1499cc (or 1.5L) turbocharged engine that makes 144 PS with 230 Nm of torque and is assisted by an electric motor that makes 200 kW (or 272 PS) with 493 Nm of torque.

Combined with a 29.8 kWh battery pack and a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), the Geely Monjaro EM-i has a total system output of 306 kW (or 416 PS) and 723 Nm of torque. More importantly, it has been listed to cover up to 130 km on EV power, based on the NEDC standard, and has a total system range of nearly 1,100 km.

The Geely EM-i is set to strengthen Geely’s growing presence in the Philippine premium SUV segment and will officially launch in the country by the end of October 2026. More details on the vehicle, specifications, pricing, and availability will be revealed closer to the official launch.
