There are plenty of Porsche restomods out there, but few carry the same name recognition as Singer Vehicle Design.

Despite having turned countless Porsche 911s into automotive works of art, the Firefly Commission is on another level, combining 710 PS, race-inspired engineering, and extreme exclusivity in one spectacular package.

Based on a 964-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 2, the Firefly Commission is one of just 99 examples to receive Singer’s Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) Turbo treatment. Even rarer, this particular car is one of only 10 right-hand-drive DLS Turbo builds.

This car recently gained plenty of attention at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Singer was the featured marque. Singer chief test driver Marino Franchitti put the Firefly through its paces up the famous Goodwood Hill, demonstrating what happens when a classic 911 meets modern engineering and serious horsepower.

The Firefly started life as a roughly 35-year-old 964-generation 911 Carrera 2 before Singer stripped it down and re-engineered it. Inspired by the brutal Porsche 934/5 endurance racers of the 1970s, the car features an all-carbon-fiber body and a newly developed 3.8L air-cooled, twin-turbo flat-six.

That engine produces 710 PS and 749 Nm of torque, with power sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Bosch stability control is also fitted to help keep all that power in check.

Singer says the DLS Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in under three seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h. Unlike a typical showpiece, however, the Firefly was engineered with both road and track use in mind.

Adding to its exclusivity is a USD 175,000 or PHP 10,937,500 option that allows the car to switch between road- and track-focused bodywork.

The setup includes interchangeable front and rear sections, with the track configuration featuring a much larger rear wing and more aggressive front aero. The components can be transported in a pair of custom flight cases.

The Firefly's 1970s Porsche 935 race-car inspiration is obvious, from its wide fenders and lightweight 19- and 20-inch forged magnesium center-lock wheels to its integrated roll cage.

Inside, the cabin gets body-color-matching leather, black trim, bespoke bucket seats, an orange thin-spoke steering wheel, and an exposed shift linkage.

Franchitti, who helped develop and test the DLS Turbo, described the combination of low-end torque and turbocharged power all the way to its 9,000-rpm redline as an especially intense driving experience.

Despite all the development work and its recent Goodwood appearance, the Firefly has covered just under 2,000 kilometers. Now, the Firefly Commission is looking for a new home, and it won’t come cheap, with an asking price of nearly $4 million, or around PHP 250,408,000
