Electric Vehicle Association of PH has a new president, board of directors
Ferdie Raquelsantos and Rommel Juan will remain as chairman emeritus and chairman, respectively

The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has announced the election of its new president and board of directors.
At the helm is Willy Tee Ten, CEO of Autohub, who succeeds outgoing president Edmund Araga. Araga will continue serving as ex officio past president.
Joining Tee Ten on the board are Carla Buencamino of ACMobility as vice president, Mark Rola of Metro Goldrich Construction as corporate secretary, Kevin Yao of Autokid Subic Trading as treasurer, and Jojo Conde of PESIN as auditor.
The association’s founders, Ferdi Raquelsantos and Rommel Juan, will remain as chairman emeritus and chairman, respectively.
“Over the years, EVAP has become a movement, one built by people who believed in electric mobility long before it became the conversation it is today. We are excited to carry that work forward and to keep pushing the boundaries of what the Philippine EV industry can accomplish,” said EVAP’s newly minted president, Willy Tee Ten.
EVAP also highlighted the rapid expansion of the local EV sector, reporting that sales in the Philippines jumped from fewer than 1,000 units in 2022 to nearly 20,000 units in 2025. EVs represented roughly 7% of total vehicle sales in 2025, while the number of charging stations grew from about 300 in 2023 to nearly 1,000 in 2025.
These numbers are expected to rise sharply as fuel prices have doubled in just a few weeks due to the US-led conflict in the Middle East, prompting more motorists to switch from gasoline or diesel vehicles to electric alternatives.
Founded in 2009, EVAP has emerged as a regional pioneer in advancing electric mobility. The association also leads the annual Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit and now counts over 88 member companies and seven university partners among its ranks.
