Chery to strengthen Visayas presence with upcoming Cebu dealership
Chery Auto is preparing for a comeback in Cebu.
UAAGI has just announced that they have signed a dealership contract with Pacific Autoworld, Inc. to open a brand new Chery dealership in Cebu. Once open, this will reintroduce the Chery brand to Cebuanos after the previous dealership wound down operations in early 2024.
The partner is key: Pacific Autoworld Inc. is part of the Borromeo Group of Companies, a Cebu-based business group with over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. The company is expected to bring its extensive experience and local market knowledge to support Chery’s expansion efforts in Central Visayas.
The partnership was officially formalized during a contract signing ceremony attended by Chery Auto Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt and Pacific Autoworld Inc. Managing Director Marco Borromeo.
Once operational, the upcoming Chery Cebu dealership will become the fourth United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) brand handled by Pacific Autoworld in Cebu. The dealership group currently also manages BAIC, Jetour, and Radar dealerships in the area.
The expansion highlights Chery's continued push to strengthen its accessibility and aftersales support across key provincial markets as competition in the local automotive industry continues to intensify.
