Bentley brings back Flying Spur S for 2026 with 680 HP
Bentley gives the Flying Spur a new look for 2026 model year
It was back in 2024 when Bentley revealed the refreshed Flying Spur for the 2024 model year. Not only did it get a heavy redesign, but the Crewe-based luxury brand also transformed the sedan into a powerful plug-in hybrid (PHEV) saloon that makes 782 HP with 1,000 Nm of torque. It can also travel up to 76 km on battery power alone, thanks to a 25.9 kWh battery pack.
For the 2026 model year, Bentley has updated the Flying Spur and even brought back the driver-focused S version for those who want to personally drive the high-performance saloon. But what changes can customers expect from the full-size flagship luxury sedan?

Starting with the exterior changes, the 2026 Flying Spur now features round headlights inspired by the Continental GT & GTC, ditching the four round headlights from before. It also gets a new grille that is now integrated with the front bumper. The new look does away with the Flying Spur's signature look, which has been in place since 1962. Other exterior changes include a new trunk lid, which features flowing surfaces and clean lines, revised LED taillights, and massive 22-inch wheels that are available in both the Azure and S models.
For the Flying Spur S, the performance-focused model stands out from the rest of the lineup with its Blackline Specification. This gives the saloon a dark finish on the lower front bumper, a gloss black matrix grille, black Bentley wings on the side, Beluga Black side mirror caps, dark-tinted LED taillights, and tailpipe finishers for the sports exhaust.

The beating heart of the 2026 Flying Spur S is a 4.0L twin-turbo hybrid V8 engine that cranks out 680 HP and 930 Nm of torque, which is 130 HP more than what the previous Flying Spur S makes. However, it's beaten by the PHEV Flying Spur Speed, which makes 782 HP and 1,000 Nm of torque. Still, the Flying Spur is capable of sprinting from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 307 km/h.
Complementing the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 is the Bentley Performance Active Chassis with Active AWD, twin valve dampers, torque vectoring (front to rear and across the axles), the 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, and an electronic limited-slip differential.

Inside, the Bentley Flying Spur S now comes with more personalization options, including several styles with fluted or quilted patterns. But perhaps serving as the most important upgrade is the optional high-end audio system called Naim for Mulliner.
Originally developed for the limited-production Batur, it has 21 speakers derived from Focal's Grand Utopia flagship audio system. Both the speakers and tweeters feature the brand's patented “M” cones that are made from a single piece. This provides incredible rigidity while still delivering a linear frequency response with a low distortion rate and better sound dispersion.

Order books for the 2026 Bentley Flying Spur (and Flying Spur S) are now open in Europe, with the first customer deliveries expected to begin later this year. That means the Philippine market may have to wait until next year before the Flying Spur S makes its way here.
