Back to Boxy: All-new 5th Gen Hyundai Tucson Makes World Debut
All-new Hyundai Tucson officially revealed in South Korea
Hyundai has officially pulled the covers off the fifth-generation Tucson, introducing a radical design overhaul for its globally popular midsize SUV. Revealing the new model in its home market of South Korea, the Korean automaker has traded the intricate parametric curves of its predecessor for a distinctly boxier, more rugged, and geometric silhouette.

The fifth-generation model grows noticeably larger, measuring 4,700 mm long, 1,905 mm wide, and 1,685 mm high, with a stretched 2,785 mm wheelbase. This expands its overall length by 60 mm, width by 40 mm, and wheelbase by 30 mm over the outgoing generation, translating directly to improved cabin space and a stronger visual presence.
Up front, the new Tucson adopts Hyundai’s modern design language with a full-width LED lighting strip stretching across a broad, upright fascia. Squared-off wheel arches and muscular fenders accentuate its traditional SUV profile, while a matching horizontal light bar completes the rear tailgate.

Inside, the cabin receives a total digital transformation. A clean, minimalist dashboard layout is dominated by a large, continuous, curved display that integrates the digital gauge cluster and the central infotainment screen. Hyundai has also introduced a revised two-spoke steering wheel, a floating center console design, and column-mounted shift-by-wire controls to maximize usable storage space between the front seats.
While complete powertrain specifications remain under wraps until its full global launch later this year, the new Tucson is expected to roll out with a heavily electrified lineup, focusing primarily on hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains alongside select internal combustion options depending on the market.

Following its Korean debut, the all-new Hyundai Tucson will begin its international rollout across major markets through late 2026 and into 2027.
