All-new BYD Atto 3 gets up to 630 km of range, 9 min flash charging tech
Next-generation BYD Atto 3 revealed with evolutionary redesign
BYD's popular electric compact crossover just received a new lease on life after the latest generation was revealed. This is the 2026 BYD Atto 3 (AKA the Yuan Plus), and it gets plenty of upgrades both inside and out.
Starting with the electric hardware, the latest Atto 3 comes with BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, the second-generation BYD Blade Battery, and flash charging that can recharge the battery to nearly full in less than 10 minutes.

Depending on the variant, the all-new Atto 3 can either come with a 57.5 kWh or a bigger 68.5 kWh battery pack. This gives the crossover SUV a range of 540 km or 630 km on a full charge based on the CLTC cycle, respectively. The new platform of the Atto 3 also sees a RWD layout for the EV that's paired with a single electric motor that's rated to produce either 272 PS or 326 PS, depending on the variant.
As mentioned earlier, the all-new Atto 3 comes with the brand's flash-charging technology. When hooked up to a BYD flash-charging station that supports up to 1,500 kW, the EV can be recharged from 10% to 97% in only 9 minutes without affecting battery health. Meanwhile, standard AC charging is at 11 kW while DC charging is rated between 110 kW and 220 kW, which can replenish its battery to 80% in around 30 to 45 minutes.

In terms of looks, the all-new BYD Atto 3 features an evolutionary redesign of the brand's “Dragon Face” design language and features a sharper and more dynamic exterior. The front fascia looks more aerodynamic thanks to a cleaner front bumper and sharper LED headlights. Retained, however, is the signature chrome grille, which has become a centerpiece for the Atto 3.
It also gets new two-tone alloy wheels, a LiDAR sensor on the roof that indicates it's available with BYD's God's Eye suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), and wraparound LED taillights with a full-width LED light bar.

Size-wise, the all-new Atto 3 measures 4665mm long, 1895mm wide, and 1675mm tall on a 2770mm wheelbase. The cargo area is rated to carry up to 750 liters worth of luggage with the rear seats deployed and has a frunk that can store up to 180 liters worth of cargo.
Since it doesn't have a traditional drivetrain, BYD was able to maximize storage bins inside the vehicle. In fact, it has hidden storage cabinets underneath the rear seats to keep prying eyes away from the vehicle.
In true BYD fashion, the all-new Atto 3 features a minimalist yet high-tech cabin. A large touchscreen infotainment system is present inside the vehicle and runs on the latest DiLink system. It also handles most of the in-car features, hence the lack of almost any kind of physical buttons on the center dashboard.

Beyond that, the cabin also comes with a 50W wireless charging pad, a heads-up display, a new electronic column shifter, new aircon vents, ambient lighting, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a redesigned digital instrument panel, ventilated front seats, a refrigerated center glovebox, and a 16-speaker sound system.
With the all-new BYD Atto 3 now available in China, it might not be long before BYD Cars Philippines decides to bring it here. The only question now is, will we get the one with up to 630 km of range?
