A first-gen Ford Everest made its way to the US; and it's for sale
2004 Ford Everest from the Philippines is on sale in the US for just over PHP 940K
Yes, you read that headline correctly. Believe it or not, someone in the US is selling a first-generation 2004 Ford Everest for USD 15,000 (or around PHP 941,000).
But before you say that it might have come from Central America or the Caribbean, this particular Ford Everest comes all the way from the Philippines.

How can we tell? Well, in one of the pictures, you can see an LTO conduction sticker, as well as a sticker of the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) placed on the back window. Then there's the Everest XLT badge, which used to be available for the Philippine market. In fact, this particular Everest XLT comes in a 4x4 guise and is denoted by the “4x4” decals on the doors.
Speaking of 4x4, this 2004 Everest XLT comes with twin sticks: one is for the 5-speed manual gearbox, while the other is for the selectable 4WD system. It even gets a rear-locking differential for extra traction in the roughest of terrains.

The rest of the cabin has seen better days, but it's nice to see that it's still in relatively good shape. And just like the current Everest, it has seating for seven, thanks to the third-row seats that can seat two people. As far as mileage is concerned, this Everest XLT 4x4 has only collected 70,896 kilometers, or just around 44,052 miles.

So how did this particular example make it all the way to Marshalltown, Iowa? According to available information, this 2004 Ford Everest XLT 4x4 was imported from the Philippines in 2023 after reportedly remaining with its original owner from 2004 until 2023. The private seller also mentioned that the Everest is all-original, still has the 2.5L turbo-diesel engine, was recently serviced, and only has minor cosmetic damage from a scrape on the rear bumper.

While the Ford Everest was never sold in North America, enthusiasts are quite familiar with the midsize frame-based SUV. Some have even clamored for the Blue Oval to bring it stateside as an alternative to the Ford Explorer. But alas, the Everest remains a forbidden fruit for North American customers.

Do you think North America is missing out on the Ford Everest since they only get the latest Ranger and Ranger Raptor models?
