After four intense virtual races, Toyota Motor Philippines has crowned the winners of this year’s National Finals of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Esports GT Championship.

In the Junior Class that featured sim drivers aged 18 years old and under, it was Enzo Ison who emerged as the champion, sweeping all four races in dominant fashion. Meanwhile, Chester Jordan Ilog and Luth Ifamy showcased flashes of brilliance and potential in their first National Finals appearances, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

For the Sporting Class, which featured local sim racing veterans, it was Russel Reyes who took three out of four victories, earning him the top spot in the category. Michael Vincent Velasquez put together a string of solid drives and a win to emerge 2nd in the class, followed by Luis Moreno – a former TGR Esports Team Philippines driver- in 3rd.

The competition tested not just the speed, but the adaptability and racecraft of the finalists. The virtual races were held in four different circuits, demonstrating the ability of these sim racers to quickly adjust to different cars, different surfaces, different driving conditions, and make their own strategies on the fly.

That proved pivotal to influencing the overall standings as the final race in both classes was held in wet-to-dry conditions at the Nurburgring Nordschleife 24H circuit, featuring the Toyota GR010 Hybrid Le Mans Hypercar.

The top three sim racers in both classes walked home with trophies and cash prizes, while the rest of the top 20 finalists were also given consolation prizes for their competitive showing in this year’s championship.

With Ison and Reyes emerging as champions of the Junior and Sporting Classes, they automatically earned a slot in representing the Philippines in the TGR Asia Esports GT Championship. Velasquez, on the other hand, got the third slot for Team Philippines for being the runner-up that earned the most points at the end of the competition.

The trio will compete against sim racers from countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand in the 2026 TGR Asia Esports GT Championship, which will be held at the Toyota Alive Space in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14-15, 2026.
