Mitsubishi Avescor Iloilo: Celebrating 50 years of progress through service
Half a century of helping families, businesses, and communities move forward with Mitsubishi
Over five decades, Mitsubishi Avescor Iloilo has been a trusted name in Western Visayas, helping generations of Ilonggos get behind the wheel of vehicles that support their families, businesses, and everyday journeys. As the dealership celebrates its 50th anniversary, it looks back on a legacy built on trust, service, and lasting customer relationships.
Established on August 19, 1976, by the Tiu family of Iloilo, Avescor chose to partner with Mitsubishi Motors because of the brand's reputation for building reliable, durable vehicles suited to Filipino motorists. That partnership has stood the test of time, with the dealership delivering more than 50,000 Mitsubishi vehicles over the years.

Several Mitsubishi nameplates have played key roles in Avescor's journey. The Lancer, Mirage, and Mirage G4 have become first cars for many families, young professionals, and overseas Filipino workers. The dependable L300 has helped countless entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, while the L200, Strada, and Triton have earned the trust of professionals and agricultural users who need a capable workhorse. Meanwhile, the Montero Sport and Pajero have become popular choices among successful professionals and growing families seeking comfort and capability.

Beyond selling vehicles, Avescor has built its reputation on customer care. As a family-owned business, the dealership believes in treating every customer like family by providing quality, reliable, and personalized service.

After a decade, Avescor Motors (AMI) sought to expand its presence in Western Visayas with the opening of Mitsubishi Avescor Bacolod in 1988 along Araneta Street, in Singcang, Bacolod City. Providing the same care that Avescor Motors had brought to its customers and partners.

The following year, AMI once again expanded its reach with the opening of Mitsubishi Avescor Roxas City in Capiz to strengthen its care and support for its customers in the region.
To maintain high standards, Avescor continuously invests in employee development through technical and customer service training while embracing digital technologies that make buying and maintaining a Mitsubishi vehicle more convenient than ever.

Its commitment also extends beyond the showroom. The company supports local charitable activities during the Christmas season, participates in environmental initiatives focused on the Iloilo River, and, through the VCT Group of Companies, contributes to community projects such as school buildings, civic facilities, and rescue vehicle donations.
The dealership recently marked its golden anniversary with a grand celebration at the Iloilo Convention Center attended by customers, suppliers, members of the media, government officials, and fellow Mitsubishi dealers. Today, the company is led by president and CEO Vince Tiu, who continues the family's commitment while preparing the business for the future.

Looking ahead, Avescor plans to grow alongside Mitsubishi Motors Philippines by bringing new vehicles, improved services, and expanded customer reach across Panay and Negros. The next generation of leadership is also expected to introduce fresh ideas while preserving the values that have guided the dealership for the past five decades. As Avescor celebrates this milestone, it remains grateful to the customers who have been part of its journey.

"We sincerely thank everyone who has supported Avescor over the past 50 years," the company shared. "Your trust has allowed us to grow through changing times, and we remain committed to providing quality products and dependable service for generations to come."
After 50 years, Mitsubishi Avescor Iloilo continues to prove that lasting success isn't measured simply by the number of vehicles sold, but by the relationships built along the way.
