Geely Iloilo: Driving mobility in the Heart of the Philippines

Iloilo has long been known as the “Heart of the Philippines.” Over the years, it has grown into one of the country’s key economic hubs outside Metro Manila, fueled by new investments, expanding businesses, and improving infrastructure. As more people choose the city as a place to live, work, and do business, the demand for modern, reliable mobility continues to grow.

That growth has also changed what buyers look for in a vehicle. Today’s customers expect more than a way to get from one place to another. They want modern technology, refined design, dependable safety, and strong value for money, backed by a dealership they can count on long after the purchase.

For Geely Iloilo, that has been the mission from the very beginning.

The dealership opened its doors in 2019 as one of Geely’s pioneer dealer partners in the Philippines, at a time when the brand was still making its name among Filipino motorists. Chinese vehicles were far from mainstream back then, and winning over buyers took more than attractive pricing. It meant offering products that could compete with more established brands in terms of design, engineering, technology, quality, and the overall ownership experience.

Geely Iloilo is operated by MNV Auto Group, one of the automotive businesses under the VCT Group of Companies. Backed by more than six decades of experience in the automotive industry, the group also has interests in real estate, banking and finance, energy, and the development and management of memorial parks.

For the company, taking on the Geely brand wasn’t simply about adding another nameplate to its portfolio. It saw the potential of a manufacturer that was beginning to reshape perceptions of Chinese automobiles.

That confidence was reinforced by Geely’s technological foundation. As the parent company of Volvo Cars, Geely had already established itself as a global automotive player, giving customers greater confidence in the engineering and safety behind its vehicles. Combined with contemporary styling, advanced features, and competitive pricing, the brand offered a compelling alternative for buyers looking for more value without compromising on quality.

And, Geely Iloilo has been part of that journey from day one. Located along Benigno Aquino Avenue in Jaro, the dealership serves customers from across Iloilo and neighboring provinces in Western Visayas. It sits less than a kilometer from SM City Iloilo, around two kilometers from the Iloilo City Ferry Terminal, and roughly 15 kilometers from Iloilo International Airport, making it accessible to customers from different parts of Panay Island and beyond.

The dealership’s facilities are designed to support customers long after they drive their new vehicle home. Built on an approximately 2,000-square-meter enclosed property, Geely Iloilo features a five-vehicle showroom where customers can explore the brand’s latest models, along with a professionally equipped six-bay service center that handles routine maintenance and other aftersales needs.

Since opening in 2019, Geely Iloilo has sold more than 1,000 vehicles, and this milestone reflects the brand’s growing presence in Western Visayas. But for the dealership, the numbers tell only part of the story.

Building lasting relationships has always been just as important as delivering vehicles. Rather than treating customers as one-time buyers, the team takes what it describes as a “family-oriented approach” to service. Owners are welcomed back for scheduled maintenance, assisted with their concerns, and supported throughout their ownership experience. The goal is simple, and that’s to make every customer feel they’re dealing with people who genuinely care about keeping them on the road.

That mindset has helped Geely Iloilo strengthen the brand’s presence across Western Visayas while earning repeat business and referrals from satisfied owners.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, the dealership is preparing for what’s next. Electrification is becoming an increasingly important part of the automotive landscape, with more manufacturers expanding their hybrid and electric vehicle offerings. Geely has continued to grow its global portfolio of new energy vehicles and advanced technologies, and Geely Iloilo looks forward to introducing more of those products to customers in the region as they become available in the Philippines.

MNV Auto Group is also exploring opportunities beyond Iloilo City. As Panay Island continues to develop, the company is studying opportunities to expand into other progressive cities and municipalities, bringing the Geely brand and its aftersales services closer to more customers.

Geely Iloilo family

As Western Visayas continues to grow, so do the opportunities for modern mobility. Geely Iloilo aims to grow alongside the region, bringing more of Geely’s latest products and technologies closer to local motorists while continuing to build on the customer-first approach that has guided the dealership since 2019.

If you’re in Iloilo or anywhere in Panay, Geely Iloilo invites you to visit its showroom in Jaro to explore the latest Geely models, speak with its product specialists, and experience the lineup firsthand through a test drive.
