Weeks ahead of the XPeng X9’s official debut later this month, XPeng Philippines has opened pre-sales for the flagship seven-seater electric MPV. Only a limited number of units from the first batch are available for reservation.

Customers may now reserve the X9 for ₱25,000. Upon vehicle delivery, they will also receive PHP 10,000 in EV charging credits and an exclusive XPeng First Circle Gift Set.

“The interest and inquiries we have received ahead of the official launch reflect the growing anticipation for the X9,” said Sam Chu, General Manager of Southeast Asia Region, XPeng. “In response, we are opening pre-sales early to give interested customers the opportunity to reserve their X9 before we officially begin retail sales later this month.”

So what makes the XPeng X9 so special to begin with? Well, it will serve as the brand’s flagship EV offering, particularly in the luxury MPV segment. According to XPeng, the X9 stands out with its Starship-inspired design, expansive seven-seat cabin, active rear-wheel steering, flexible cargo space, refined passenger comfort, intelligent features, and a suite of safety systems that work together to create a more complete flagship experience.

In fact, XPeng has revealed some of the X9’s specs. Starting with the dimensions, the X9 EV measures 5,316 mm long, 1,988 mm wide, and 1,785 mm tall on a 3,160 mm wheelbase. This makes the X9 EV spacious and one of the largest luxury MPVs on the market that runs on zero emissions. 

Powering the X9 EV is a 110 kWh NMC battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 615 km, based on the WLTP cycle. This then drives a front electric motor that delivers 235 kW (319 PS) and 450 Nm of torque. Despite its size, XPeng says the X9 EV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.75 seconds. Recharging the X9 can be done via 11 kW AC charging, which can replenish the battery from 5% to 100% in around 11 hours. However, the X9 also supports DC fast charging of up to 542 kW. This allows the battery to be recharged from 10% to 80% in only 12 minutes. It also has up to 6 kW of vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability to power up devices or appliances during a blackout or on the go.

Other nifty features available in the XPeng X9 include active rear-wheel steering for improved handling and agility, a dual chamber air suspension system that balances ride comfort, stability & ride control, a sunken luggage compartment that can store or hide valuables with ease, full-grain Nappa leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats for the front & rear passengers, massage seats for the second row with powered leg supports & one-touch reclining, a 21-inch rear entertainment display, a 27-speaker sound system, a 17.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a host of intelligent safety features.
