Toyota Motor Philippines has announced the postponement of Race Weekend 4 of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup, which was originally scheduled to run from September 10 to 12, 2026.

The decision comes in response to severe flooding and persistent heavy traffic bottlenecks along critical stretches of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), particularly around low-lying segments in Pampanga. Organizers cited safety and logistical concerns for drivers, race teams, operational staff, and spectators traveling to the track.

Compounding the transit difficulties, weather forecasts indicate continuing unfavorable conditions driven by the Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, which is expected to bring further downpours and potential flash floods across central Luzon.

Organizers emphasized that prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants and fans remains the top priority. Toyota is looking at October 1 to 3, 2026 as the tentative date for the final race weekend. However, an official announcement has yet to be made.
