After being recognized by the Department of Energy as an electric vehicle (EV), Chevrolet Philippines distributor Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. has officially revealed its competitor to the likes of the BYD Atto 3.

This is the 2026 Chevrolet Captiva EV, and it's packing quite a features list. Starting with its electric hardware, the Captiva EV comes with a 60 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack that gives the crossover a range of up to 415 km.

It also supports AC and DC fast charging, with the former rated at 6.6 kW. Meanwhile, the CCS2 DC charging port is rated to recharge the Captiva EV up to 120 kW. Motivating the Captiva EV is a single electric motor that puts out 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque.

Beyond that, the Captiva EV also has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. It also has a digital instrument panel, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and a host of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS).

These include adaptive cruise control, front collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane departure prevention, emergency lane-keep assist, lane-tracing assist (AKA cruise control on curves), hill-start assist, and hill-descent control.

The Chevrolet Captiva EV is available for PHP 1.86 million, which makes it a little pricier than the top-of-the-line BYD Atto 3 Premium, which retails for PHP 1.798 million.
