GAC launches GN6, E8 HEV, and GN8 PHEV three-row MPVs in PH
GAC PH reveals trio of MPVs that are available in ICE, HEV, and PHEV variants
GAC Philippines is out to carve themselves a nice slice of the MPV market in the country with a trio of vehicles.
That’s right: the automaker has just revealed three vehicles, all of which are three-row MPVs. Making their Philippine debut are the all-new GN6, the E8 HEV, and the GN8 PHEV, each catering to a specific segment and buyer, depending on their wants & needs.

First up is the all-new GN6, which was designed for flexible comfort and space in every journey. It features a bold front fascia that’s highlighted by a vertical grille, sleek LED headlights, stylish alloy wheels, and a spacious cabin.
Powering the GN6 is a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four that’s mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. It makes 177 PS at 5500 rpm along with a healthy 270 Nm of torque between 1400 and 4500 rpm. Power is then sent to the front wheels, which come with 17-inch alloys wrapped in 215/55 series tires.

In terms of size, the GN6 measures 4792mm long, 1837mm wide, and 1750mm tall on a 2810mm wheelbase. With a center aisle that’s 190mm wide, those who need to get to the third row can easily ingress and egress from the very back. That’s because the second row comes with captain seats for extra comfort. With all rows of seats deployed, the GN6 has up to 324 liters worth of cargo space. Fold the third row, however, and luggage space expands to as much as 1,100 liters.
The GN6 is only available in the GX variant, but it comes with plenty of features. These include leather-wrapped seats & steering wheel, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.6-inch touchscreen media display with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 6-speaker sound system, a power sunroof, a 360-camera, rear parking sensors, and a host of USB charging ports for all rows of seats.

For extra peace of mind, the GN6 comes with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), which include adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, high-beam assist, and lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning.
The GAC GN6 GX is selling for PHP 1.298 million, but is available with a special introductory price of PHP 1.198 million until August 31, 2026. Available colors include Classic Black and Pearl White.

Next is the hybrid MPV, which is the GAC E8 HEV. It combines premium comfort with an electrified powertrain and bridges the gap between the turbocharged GN6 and the flagship GN8 PHEV MPV, which we’ll get to later.
At the heart of the E8 HEV is a hybrid system that combines a 2.0L engine that makes 140 PS with 180 Nm of torque, an electric motor that produces 182 PS with 300 Nm of torque, a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), and a 1.8 kWh battery pack. With it, GAC claims the E8 HEV has a combined range of more than 1,000 km from its 60-liter fuel tank and is capable of averaging nearly 18 km/L in mixed driving conditions.

Size-wise, the GAC E8 HEV measures 4920mm long, 1928mm wide, and 1760mm tall on a generous 2930mm wheelbase. With three rows of seating (2+2+3) with captain seats in the second row, there is plenty of cabin space and legroom for all rows of seats. But it is perhaps the second row, which gets the best seats in the E8 HEV, thanks to a pair of zero-gravity captain seats.
High-grade variants of the E8 HEV get power leg rests, a cooling function, and even a massage function for extra comfort. There’s also a power sunroof, 60:40 split third row seats that can be folded flat, rear A/C vents for the second & third row passengers, and full leather upholstery.

Other available amenities inside the E8 HEV include a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a wireless charging pad, an 8-speaker sound system (6 speakers in lower variants), a power tailgate, and a 360-degree camera system.
Available only for the range-topping E8 HEV GX is a suite of ADAS, which is similar to the GN6 GX’s list of intelligent driver aids.

The GAC E8 HEV starts at PHP 1.858 million for the GL variant and tops out at PHP 1.998M for the GX version. However, GAC is selling the E8 HEV GL and GX for only PHP 1.778M and PHP 1.918M, respectively, until August 31, 2026. Colors available include Crystal White and Elegant Black.
Last but not least is the flagship GN8 PHEV. With its imposing design, massive size, and long list of cabin features, the GN8 PHEV sits atop GAC’s MPV Family. Featuring a waterfall-style grille, distinct LED headlights & daytime running lights, and massive 18-inch alloy wheels, the GN8 PHEV has a commanding presence on the road.

As far as exterior dimensions are concerned, the GAC GN8 PHEV comes in at 5247mm long, 1893mm wide, and 1823mm tall on a 3070mm wheelbase.
At the heart of the GN8 PHEV is a 2.0L turbocharged engine that’s assisted by an electric motor, which gets its power from a 25.5 kWh battery pack. The result is a combined system output of 373 PS and 630 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).

On battery power alone, GAC claims the GN8 PHEV can cover up to 120 km on the NEDC cycle. With a fully charged battery and a full tank of gasoline, however, GAC says the GN8 PHEV has a total system range of up to 1,038 km on the NEDC standard. The GN8 PHEV supports 6.6 kW Type 2 AC charging, which can recharge the MPV from near empty to 100% in 7 hours. It also has DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in just 45 minutes.
Since it’s the flagship MPV, the GN8 PHEV comes with power-adjustable captain seats with ottomans & folding tray tables, a full leather interior, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a three-zone climate control with a fragrance system, a 60:40 split-folding third row seat, and multi-color intelligent ambient lighting for a warmer cabin ambiance.

Beyond that, the GN8 PHEV also comes with the following: a fully digital instrument panel, a massive touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation, a wireless charging pad, a 16-speaker sound system, a host of USB charging ports for all rows of seats, passive keyless entry, a 360-degree camera system, a section panoramic roof with starlight decoration, a soundproof windshield, and a suite of intelligent driver aids via its ADAS.

The GAC GN8 PHEV is retailing for PHP 3.488 million, but is available at a special introductory price of PHP 3.338M until August 31, 2026. Available colors include Blade Shadow White, Elegant Black, and Temple Gold.
Reservations for all three GAC MPV models are now available at GAC dealerships nationwide. Introductory prices are only available until August 31, 2026.
