GAC keeps AION UT below PHP 1M as introductory price gets extended
GAC Philippines announced that it has extended the introductory pricing of the AION UT as the all-electric hatchback continues to gain momentum in overseas markets.
Buyers now have until July 31, 2026, to purchase the AION UT Elite for PHP 998,000, extending the model’s launch offer. This is PHP 70,000 lower than its regular SRP of PHP 1.068 million, consisting of a PHP 50,000 introductory discount and an additional PHP 20,000 incentive available to the first 400 buyers.

The extension comes as GAC reported that the AION UT recorded 3,331 global sales in May, up 60% from the previous month. The company said the model has been gaining ground in markets including Thailand, Australia, Latin America, and Europe since its global debut in 2025.
Launched in the Philippines in May, the AION UT is GAC's entry into the compact electric hatchback segment. It was designed by the company’s Milan Design Center and rides on a 2,750 mm wheelbase, giving it interior space comparable to that of larger vehicles despite its compact footprint.
Power comes from an all-electric drivetrain paired with GAC’s Magazine Battery 2.0, which the automaker says has maintained a zero spontaneous combustion safety record since its introduction.
The AION UT also comes with a lengthy list of standard equipment, including a large infotainment display, a panoramic glass roof, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and six airbags.

GAC said the model has also picked up several international awards, including recognition at the Bangkok International Motor Show, Thailand Car of the Year 2026, and automotive awards in Mexico.
The AION UT is available in Champs-Élysées Beige, Emerald Green, Rococo White, Seine Silver, and a two-tone Rococo White with Emerald Green finish.
Like the brand’s other EVs sold locally, the AION UT comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, plus an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for its core electric drive components. Buyers also receive two years of complimentary roadside assistance.
