BIMS 2026: Audi reveals next-generation Q3 with more power and space

The 2026 Audi Q3 steps into the spotlight with its regional debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show. With a bolder, more dynamic design, extra horsepower, and a slightly longer wheelbase, the Q3 has grown in every way, length, width, and confidence.

Sleeker and stronger than before, it’s also roomier, more capable, and ready to take the lead in the Audi lineup.

Following in the footsteps of its larger sibling, the Q5, this subcompact SUV adopts Audi’s latest front-end design language.

A prominent Singleframe grille takes center stage, flanked by split headlights with the DRLs positioned above the main units, which seamlessly connect to the lower bumper trim.

From the side, the Q3 looks noticeably more muscular, thanks to its horizontal shoulder line and sharply defined wheel-arch creases.

At the rear, the taillights feature a split design connected by a slender light bar stretching across the width of the vehicle. Wheel options range from 17 to 20 inches, depending on the variant.

Inside, the cabin is both tech-forward and driver-focused. An 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster pairs with a 12.8-inch touchscreen angled toward the driver. The infotainment system runs on Android Automotive OS, and buyers can choose from nine interior packages, including upholstery crafted from sustainable materials.

The Q3 also offers practical cargo space: the trunk measures 488 liters, expanding to 575 liters with the rear seats adjusted forward, and reaching 1,386 liters when the second-row seats are fully folded.

Under the hood, the Q3 offers a range of mild-hybrid four-cylinder engines. The lineup starts with a 1.5-liter TFSI turbo gasoline engine producing 150 PS with cylinder deactivation, followed by a 2.0-liter TFSI with 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-liter diesel delivering 150 PS and 360 Nm.

Audi has yet to release full details on the plug-in hybrid variant, but the PHEV is expected to produce a combined 272 PS and 400 Nm, with a 25.7 kWh battery providing up to 119 km of electric range and DC fast-charging capability of 50 kW, reaching 10–80% charge in under 30 minutes.

Ride comfort is customizable, with options for standard steel-spring suspension, sport suspension, or two-valve damper control. Safety and convenience are covered by an extensive suite of standard driver-assistance systems, ensuring the Q3 is as secure as it is stylish.
