All-new Maserati GranTurismo revealed in twin-turbo V6, pure EV forms
Next-generation Maserati GranTurismo launched with electrified powertrains
After countless teasers, photos, and releases, Maserati has officially revealed the new-generation GranTurismo. But unlike its predecessors which were only available with internal combustion (ICE), the grand tourer is also available with a zero-emissions powertrain.
Say hello to the 2023 Maserati GranTurismo, and it has some new tricks up its sleeve. First and foremost, let's talk about what's under the hood of both the ICE and EV versions. Those that still prefer their grand tourer with internal combustion will be happy to know it gets the brand's 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 derived from the MC20 flagship supercar.

The V6 is available in two states of tune, depending on the GranTurismo variant chosen. First is the Modena which puts out 496 PS with 600 Nm of torque and allows the vehicle to go from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds as well as reach a top speed of 302 km/h. Next is the more powerful Trofeo which doles out an impressive 557 PS and 650 Nm of torque. 0 – 100 km/h is easily dispatched in 3.2 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 320 km/h. Both the Modena and Trofeo's V6s are connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission by ZF.

But if you want the fastest version, you have to go with the all-electric GranTurismo Folgore. While it may not have a V6 under the hood, it's actually the most powerful production Maserati to date (superseding the MC20 flagship supercar). With a trio of electric motors, an 800-volt architecture, and a 92.5 kWh battery technology derived from Formula E, the Folgore cranks out an impressive 761 PS and a stump-pulling 1,350 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and can reach 320 km/h.

To help enthusiasts (and customers) discern which is which, Maserati cleverly made some neat changes to the exterior of the ICE-powered GranTurismo and the Folgore EV. For starters, the front fascia of the two vehicles differ. Whereas the Folgore comes with a smaller grille, the ICE version gets a bigger grille with additional intakes. In addition, the Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore all come with unique alloy wheels – with the EV sporting the most striking design thanks to its Y-spoke design. All models come with 20-inch alloys at the front and a 21-inch set at the back.

Pictures of the interior are not yet available. However, Maserati did say that the all-new GranTurismo will be available with a 12.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and another 8.8-inch touchscreen for the center console that also doubles as the climate control panel. It will also come with the updated Maserati Intelligent Assistant that will allow drivers to use intelligent voice control and make hand gestures to control the infotainment system. Last but not least, a 19-speaker sound system from Sound Faber will deliver audio fidelity inside the cabin.
With the all-new GranTurismo now revealed, expect it to reach global markets very soon. More importantly, it could make its way to the Philippines next year, but not before the arrival of the MC20 first.
